Lesson 7 Reading for Writing
I. Material analysis
内容解读：
本部分为以读促写活动，培养学生的书面表达能力。本单元阅读范文的内容为地球和它的邻居———火星。第一步，学生两人一组，为太阳、地球和火星涂颜色，并讨论地球的其他邻居，激活已有知识，引发学习兴趣。第二步，学生阅读关于火星的内容，完成表格填写。第三步，学生绘制表格比较两颗星球，并根据提供的短语和句型，起草作文，完成作文初稿。第四步，学生根据评价量表，从写作内容、思维技能运用、结构、语法、标点等方面进行自评和同伴互评，并根据评价内容，完成作文终稿。本部分共有４个活动。
II. Teaching aims
通过本课的学习，学生能够：
基于写作目的、文体和要求，分析范文结构，列出描述星球基本特征的内容要点；
2. 运用表格，谋篇布局，拟定框架，正确使用单元主题词汇、形容词的比较等级，完成写作任务；
3. 通过自评和互评，学会反思，优化完善作文的结构、内容和语言。
III. Teaching procedures
课时教学内容概述
本课时为以读促写活动，写作题目为《地球及其邻近星球》。学生需围绕单元“地球和宇宙探秘”主题，运用本单元所学内容完成作文。写作部分共有５个活动。Activity 1要求学生两人一组，为太阳、地球和火星上色，并讨论地球的其他邻居，激活已有知识，引发兴趣。Activity 2要求学生阅读关于火星的文本，完成表格填写。Activity 3要求学生绘制表格，对比两颗星球的差异，培养信息提取、对比和思考能力，并根据Activity 3中提供的短语和句型，起草作文，完成作文的初稿。Activity 4要求学生完成终稿，提升写作的准确性和完善度。学生根据评价表，从写作内容、思维技能运用、结构、语法、标点等方面进行自评并与同伴互评，最后根据评价内容，修改完善作文，最终定稿。

教学步骤 学习活动 效果评价
Step 1 Lead-in 1. Look at the picture in Activity 1, and color the Sun, Earth and Mars. 2. Talk about Earth’s other neighbors, and predict what the text is about. 根据学生的表现，判断他们是否具有观察分析图片和预测话题的能力。
设计意图：通过看图上色的活动导入本堂课的情境，围绕写作主题做好前测，激活学生已有知识，提高写作教学的针对性和有效性。
Step 2 Reading Read the text and complete the table in Activity 2. Check the answers. Read the text again. Analyze the text structure and find out the main idea for each paragraph. Then make an outline of the text. 根据学生完成表格的情况，了解他们对写作要点的理解情况。 观察学生对语篇结构的分析和对语篇内容的概括，评价学生写作前谋篇布局的意识。
设计意图：引导学生学习文本结构，梳理本文要点，为笔头输出做准备。
Step 3 Writing Draw a table to compare two planets according to the table in Activity 2. 2. Draft the essay about comparing two planets by using the phrases and sentence patterns in Activity 3. 观察学生完成表格和写作任务的情况，给予必要的指导。
设计意图：通过层层递进的活动，引导学生构思作文内容架构，起草作文要点，综合运用所学目标语言，完成写作任务，帮助学生提升语言综合运用能力。
Step 4 Evaluating 1. Invite the partner to rate the final draft. 2. Complete the essay according to the evaluating. 根据学生呈现的作文，评价他综合运用所学词语、句型和结构的情况，给予必要的指导。
设计意图: 引导学生进行自评和同伴互评，反思和评价自己作文的表达效果，修改完善作文，提升写作质量，实现以评促学。
