Ⅰ. Warm-Up Room Objects & Location Guessing (1a) 【 6 min】 1. Show a picture of a messy room and ask what students see. 2. Introduce the question "Where is/are... " with real objects. 3. Play a guessing game with hidden classroom objects. Identify objects in the picture and say their names in English. Practice the question "Where is/are... " with teacher guidance. 3. Guess locations of hidden objects using prepositional phrases.
Ⅱ. Presentation Prepositions of Place & Matching (1b) 【 10 min】 1. Present prepositions of place using TPR (Total Physical Response). 2. Demonstrate each preposition with real objects and examples. 3. Guide students through the matching exercise in 1b. 1. Imitate teacher's actions for each preposition (put hands on desk, etc.). 2. Repeat prepositional phrases after teacher with correct gestures. 3. Complete 1b by matching objects with their locations.
Ⅲ. Practice Listening & Pair Work (1c-1d) 【 14 min】 1. Play the audio for 1c twice and check answers. 2. Model the conversation in 1d with a student volunteer. 3. Monitor pair work and provide corrective feedback. 1. Listen to the audio and number the items in the picture. 2. Practice the 1d conversation in pairs, substituting different objects. 3. Create original dialogues about classroom objects and their locations.
Ⅳ. Promotion Tidy Room Design & Presentation 【 10 min】 Ask students to design their ideal tidy room on paper. Have students describe their room designs to partners using prepositions. 3. Select volunteers to present their tidy rooms to the class. Draw and label a tidy room with objects in specific locations. Describe the room to a partner using "There is/are..." and prepositions. 3. Present the room design to the class, explaining object placements.
作业 布置 Must do: 1. Draw your room and write 5 sentences describing where things are using prepositions. 2. Practice the conversation from 1d with a family member using different objects.
