教学重点 Obtain basic information through fast reading. Let students master some reading strategies and skills to make a big progress in their growth. Based on students knowledge and key language knowledge, use the target language to express the opinions.
教学难点 Sort out and summarize the theme diagram and the structure diagram, and summarize the article based on structured graphics.

Step 1 Lead in Greeting and asking about their daily routines at school. The T shows some pictures on PPT, and ask students to guess what class they are having and their feelings. 学生与老师问好,观察PPT上的图片,猜测学生们正在上什么课。
Step 2 Pre-reading 展示迈克和吴彬彬在留言板的头像、网名和部分信息,让学生们观察并猜测: “Where are they from What subjects might they like” 学生们仔细观察信息,结合已有的知识,大胆猜测两人来自的国家和可能喜欢的学科,并阐述理由
Step3 While-reading Skimming Look at the passage. What can you see in the picture What kind of passage is it Read the message board about students’ favourite subjects. Underline all the school subjects each student has. Careful reading (1) Read again and complete the chart. NameFavourite subjectWhyMikeWu Binbin
(2)Read carefully and answer the questions. ·What subjects do Mike and Binbin both have ·How does Mike fell about music ·What does Wu Binbin learn in his maths class ·Do you like music or maths Why Discuss with classmates and draw a mind map according to the passage. The mind map includes the their favourite subjects and reasons. After that the teacher will ask two or three students to share their mind map in class. 学生们仔细观察照片,在教师的引导下,观察图片,获取图片传递的信息。并且引导学生预测文章内容、回答文章的体裁和主题。 学生第二次阅读文章,精读文章,将文章中出现的人物喜欢的学科和理由找出,在书上做好标记。(学生在教师的问题下,思考可以通过快速阅读、抓取关键词的方式获取信息,准确、快速地完成任务。) 2.学生再次细读短文,根据老师给出的四个问题在文中找到答案。并根据文章的内容绘制思维导图,思维导图包含迈克和吴彬彬最喜欢的学科及理由的描述。
Step 4 Post-reading According to students’ mind map, please ask students to try to retell their passage and show themselves in front of the class. 学生根据思维导图的基本信息,观看主题图,复述文章。
Step 5 Summary Ask two or three students to share their ideas
Step 6 Homework Level A Recite the passage and practice with your partner. Level B Finish your task paper. Level C Write a passage about your favourite subject.

教学反思
本节课是阅读课,在图片导入后,老师用任务型教学法,给学生布置了阅读任务,让学生阅读有目标。通过略读和细读引导学生学会阅读,并在其中透露阅读策略。大部分学生认真仔细,但对个别学生来说,还是有难度。
