Teaching procedures
Step1 Warming-up
1. Greetings and free talk.
2. Lead-in
Show some pictures of students in the classroom with different behaviors, such as eating snacks, using mobile phones and sleeping.
Ask the students: What are they doing Is it right or wrong Why
Step2 Listening practice
1. Present the task
Explain to the students that they will listen to a conversation and need to circle the colored words they hear.
2. Play the audio
3. Check the answers and correct them.
Step3 Reading and comprehension
1. Reading task
Ask the students to read the conversation silently and complete Tom's notes about the school rules.
2. Group discussion
Divide the students into groups of 4 and let them discuss
the answers to the questions in 2c.
3. Share and check.
Step4 Language points
1. Focus on the key language points
Explain the usage of mustn't, can't, have to and compare their differences.
2. Practice
Give some exercises for the students to practise the usage of these words.
Step5 Role-play
1. Listen and imitate
Play the audio again and ask the students to pay attention to the stressed words.
Step6 Group discussion and presentation
Ask students to talk about the rules.
Step7 Summary and Homework
1. Summarize the key points of this lesson.
2. Assign homework: Ask students to write a short passage.

Teaching Reflection
In this class, we have learned more school rules and how to get the information from listening material as well as some listening skills. However, they may miss out some details while listening. That's a big part we need to focus on later.
