Ⅰ.动词短语
动词短语就是有些动词可以和一些别的词构成短语(以动词为中心),表达一个概念,其作用是和一个单独动词差不多的一种固定搭配。在实际使用中,通常会把动词短语当成一个整体。
1.同一动词+不同介词(副词)
(1)look短语
look after照顾     look around环顾
look at看  look down俯视
look for寻找 look into调查;观察
look out注意;小心  look over迅速地检查
look through浏览  look up查阅   
look up to尊敬  look forward to盼望;期待
(2)put短语
put away放好  put back放回原处
put down写下;记下  put off推迟;拖延
put on穿上;增加体重  put out熄灭
put up搭建;张贴  put up with容忍
(3)turn短语
turn around(使)转身  turn down调低;拒绝
turn in上交  turn into变成
turn off关闭  turn on打开
turn out结果是  turn up调高
turn over把所有权交给某人
(4)get短语
get back回来  get down写下;记下
get off下车  get on上车
get over克服 get to到达
get up起床;起来 get away from 远离;摆脱
get along with 与……相处
get ready for...为……做准备
(5)take短语
take after(外貌)相像 take apart拆卸;拆开
take away带走;拿走 take care of照顾
take down写下;记下 take in吸收;欺骗
take off起飞;脱掉 take out取出;提(款)
take part in参加 take up占据;开始从事
(6)come短语
come along一起去/来 come back回来
come from来自 come in进来
come on快点儿 come out 出版
come over 过来;顺便拜访 come to 来到;共计
come true 实现;成为现实
come up with 想出;提出(主意、计划、回答等)
2.不同动词+同一介词(副词)
(1)up短语
call up打电话 clean up 收拾干净;清理
cheer up 使……高兴 clear up 清除
end up结束 fix up 修理
give up 放弃 grow up 长大
make up 组成;编造 pick up 捡起
stay up 熬夜 set up 建立
(2)to短语
belong to 属于  close to 接近
lead to 导致;通向  listen to... 听……
stick to 坚持;固守 talk to... 跟……说
hold on to 继续;坚持;保持
pay attention to 对……注意;留心
help oneself to 请随便吃点……
(3)out短语
find out 发现 get out 出去
hand out 分发 run out 用尽
(4)on短语
work on 从事;忙于 depend on 依靠;取决于
keep on 继续(进行) pass on 传递
put on 穿上,戴上;上演
try on 试穿;试验
(5)off短语
break off 突然中止;中断 cut off 切除
go off (闹钟)发出响声 keep off 让开;不接近
run off 跑掉,迅速离开
3.不同动词+不同介词(副词)
call in召来 go ahead开始
jump out跳出 move in迁入
stand up站起来 start out出发
stop/drop by顺便访问 pay for支付
worry about担心 wait for等待
come back to返回到
make friends with 与……交朋友

Ⅱ.非谓语动词
不能单独作谓语,但仍具有动词的特点(可以充当主语、宾语、状语),但是没有人称和数的变化。非谓语动词有动词不定式、动名词和分词三类。

1.动词不定式
(1)基本形式“to + 动词原形”,否定形式是“not +动词不定式”。
(2)具有名词、形容词和副词的特征,在句中可作主语、宾语、宾语补足语、定语和状语等。如:
①To__be__a__pop__star is my dream.(作主语)
②He's learning to__swim.(作宾语)
③She asked me not__to__speak__loudly.(作宾语补足语)
④There's nothing to__eat in the fridge.(作定语)
⑤He uses a magic stick to__fight__bad__people.(作状语)
(3)疑问词what, which, how, when, where等可与动词不定式连用,在句中可作主语或宾语。如:When__to__start hasn't been decided yet.I don't know what__to__do next.
(4)有些动词后面用作宾语补足语的动词不定式通常省略to,有感官动词see, hear, watch, feel, notice等,使役动词let, make, have等。如:I saw him leave the room.Let him go.
2.动名词形式
①Seeing is not__believing.(作主语和表语)
②The sleeping bag is really great.(作定语)
③I seriously considered resigning.(作宾语)
3.现在分词和过去分词
①The cup is broken.(作表语)
②I want to buy a used car because I don't have enough money.(作定语)
③Lost in deep thought, he didn't hear the sound.(作状语,表原因)
④I noticed the boy running into the next room.(作宾语补足语)
⑤Living in the country, we had few social activities.(作状语)
⑥The film being shown in the cinema is exciting.(作表语)
