A: Hey, do you know how to make steamed fish I want to learn.
B: Sure! First, let's talk about the ingredients. We need one fish, some scallions, ginger, garlic, cooking wine, light soy sauce, salt, and oil.
A: Got it. So, what's the first step
B: First, clean the fish carefully and make several slits on both sides. Then, rub a little salt and cooking wine all over the fish and let it marinate for about 15 minutes.
A: Okay. What comes next
After marinating, rinse and pat dry the fish. Put some sliced ginger and scallions in its belly to remove the fishy smell.
A: Got it. Then how to steam
B: Place the fish on a steaming plate. Boil water in a pot, then put the plate in and cover it. Steam for 8-10 minutes—don’t overcook, or it’ll get tough!

B: Pour out the extra water from the plate and remove the ginger/scallions. Sprinkle fresh chopped scallions on top.
