Personal Pronouns
Subject Pronouns: I, you, he, she, it, we, they

e.g. I like reading. (I is the subject.)
Please give it to me. (me is the object.)
Possessive Pronouns
Adjective - type Possessive Pronouns: my, your, his, her, its, our, their
Noun - type Possessive Pronouns: mine, yours, his, hers, its, ours, theirs
e.g. This is my book. (my modifies the noun "book")
This book is mine. (mine is used alone, meaning my book)
教学过程
A. Lead - in (5 minutes)
Show some pictures about junior high school life, such as students having classes, joining clubs, etc.
T: Look at these pictures. What can you see
Ss: We can see students having classes, playing basketball, etc.
Ask students to share their expectations and feelings about their first class in junior high school.
T: Now, please share with your partners what you expected or felt in your first class in junior high school.
Ss discuss in pairs and then some volunteers share their ideas.
B. Pre - reading (8 minutes)
Present the new words and phrases on the PPT. Teach them one by one, explaining their meanings, pronunciations, and usages.
For example, when teaching "start", show the sentence "We start our class at 8:00 every day." and explain the two structures "start to do sth" and "start doing sth".
Drill the new words and phrases with students through reading aloud, individual reading, and group reading.
Brainstorm some questions related to the topic "The first class in junior high school", such as "What did you do in your first class ", "Did you meet any new friends in the first class ", etc. Write these questions on the blackboard.
C. While - reading (18 minutes)
Skimming
Let students read the text quickly to get the main idea.
T: Read the text quickly and tell me who is the main character and what happened in the story.
Ss read quickly and then answer: The main character is Wang Han. She pointed out a mistake in the teacher's sentence in her first English class.
Scanning
Ask students to read the text again carefully and find the answers to the questions on the blackboard.
After students finish reading, check the answers together.

Detailed Reading
Analyze the text sentence by sentence. Explain the difficult sentences and language points.

D. Post - reading (10 minutes)
Retelling
Ask students to retell the story in their own words. First, let them prepare in groups, and then some students retell it in front of the class.
Give some tips for retelling, such as using the key words and phrases, and paying attention to the correct order of events.
Discussion
Divide students into groups and let them discuss the question: "What can we learn from Wang Han's experience "
Each group selects a representative to share their discussion results.
Ss may say that we should be careful in learning, be brave to express our opinions, and think actively.
Language Practice
Design some exercises about the new words, phrases, and grammar (pronouns). For example:
Fill in the blanks with the correct forms of the given words:
① She is ______ (polite) to everyone. (Answer: polite)
② Please remember ______ (close) the door. (Answer: to close)
③ This is ______ (I) book. (Answer: my)
④ The book is ______ (her). (Answer: hers)
Let students do the exercises individually first, and then check the answers together.

教学反思
After this class, I think the following aspects went well. The lead - in part successfully aroused students' interest and made them actively participate in sharing their experiences. The pre - reading teaching of new words and phrases laid a good foundation for students' reading. During the while - reading process, students gradually mastered the reading skills of skimming and scanning, and they could understand the text well with the guidance of detailed reading. The post - reading activities, such as retelling, discussion, and language practice, effectively helped students consolidate what they had learned and improved their language output ability.
However, there are also some areas that need improvement. In the group discussion, some students were a little shy and didn't actively express their opinions. Next time, I should encourage them more and create a more relaxed atmosphere. Also, in the grammar teaching part, although students did some exercises, they may still need more practice to fully master the usage of pronouns. I will design more relevant exercises in the following classes. In general, this class achieved most of the teaching objectives, but there is still room for further improvement in teaching methods and student participation.
