Unit 6 When disaster strikes
核心语法：时间状语从句
一、 核心概念
时间状语从句：在一个句子中，用一个从句来充当时间状语，说明主句动作发生的时间。这个从句就是时间状语从句。
结构：主句 + 从属连词 + 时间状语从句
位置：时间状语从句可以放在主句之前（通常用逗号隔开）或主句之后（不用逗号）。
When the bell rang, the students went into the classroom.
The students went into the classroom when the bell rang.
二、 常见引导词及其用法
引导词 含义 用法说明 例句
when 当……时候 1. 从句动作与主句动作同时发生。
2. 从句动作发生在主句动作之前或之后。用法最广。 I was reading when he came in. (他进来时，我正在看书。)

as 一边……一边……；随着 1. 强调主句和从句动作同时发生，且都在变化或发展。
2. 表示“随着”时间推移。 As he grew older, he became wiser. (随着年龄增长，他变得更聪明。)
before 在……之前 表示主句动作发生在从句动作之前。 Think before you leap. (三思而后行。)
after 在……之后 表示主句动作发生在从句动作之后。 After he finished his homework, he watched TV. (他做完作业后看了电视。)
since 自从……以来 1. 主句常用现在完成时，从句用一般过去时。
2. 表示从过去某一点开始，持续到现在的动作。 He has lived here since he was born. (他自从出生就住在这里。)
until / till 直到……为止 1. 用于肯定句时，主句谓语是延续性动词，表示动作持续到从句动作发生为止。
2. 用于否定句（not...until...）时，主句谓语是瞬间动词，表示“直到……才……”。 I waited until he came back. (我一直等到他回来。)
I didn't go to bed until he came back. (直到他回来我才睡觉。)
as soon as 一……就…… 表示从句动作一发生，主句动作立即发生。 I will call you as soon as I arrive. (我一到就给你打电话。)
三、 重点与难点
1. when, while, as 的区别
这是最常考的考点，关键在于从句动词的性质。

2. 时态问题：主将从现
这是时间状语从句中最重要的时态规则。
规则：当主句是将来时（或含有将来的意味，如祈使句、情态动词can/may/must等）时，时间状语从句必须用一般现在时来表示将来的动作。

特别注意：when 引导的从句如果表示“当……时候”，也遵循“主将从现”原则。但如果 when 表示“那时”，引导的是宾语从句，则时态不受此限制。
I don't know when he will come. (宾语从句，表示“他何时会来”，用将来时)
I will call you when he comes. (时间状语从句，表示“当他来的时候”，用一般现在时)
3. until 的用法
肯定句：主句(延续性动词) + until... “直到……为止”
He waited until the rain stopped.
否定句：主句(not + 瞬间动词) + until... “直到……才……”
He didn't leave until the rain stopped. (直到雨停了他才离开。)
