Imagine you are Eric. You have just come back from Beijing. Now, you want to write a thank-you email to your host family. What should you include in the email Look at the texts on pages 69 and 73, and then discuss in groups.

How is everything I hope you are well.
I’m writing to thank you for your kindness during my stay in Beijing. You were wonderful hosts, and I am so grateful that you took care of me. You made me feel part of the family!
I really enjoyed the amazing family dinners, and I learnt so much about Chinese culture from you. I still remember the day we visited the Great Wall. It was one of the best days in my life!
I really miss all the delicious food in Beijing, especially your home-cooked dumplings. Since I returned to London, I haven’t had any good Chinese food. I wish I can go back to China again soon. It was an unforgettable experience.
I do hope that you can come and visit London sometime too!
