Unit 6 Earth and Beyond
Lesson 6 Oral Communication
I. Material analysis
内容解读：
本部分为口语交际活动，谈论其他星球上的未来生活，采取“以听促说”的形式，引导学生拓展单元主题，开展口语交际活动。第一步，学生阅读句子，对音频内容大意进行预测。第二步，学生通过句子填空和句子排序２个活动获取音频内容大意和细节信息，培养听前预测和听中记录关键信息的能力。第三步，学生在完成听力训练后，以小组合作的形式，就“我想去的星球”这一话题展开讨
论，并说出理由，然后在班级上汇报，在交流中锻炼口语表达和运用英语进行讨论的能力。本部分共有２个活动。
II. Teaching aims
通过本课的学习，学生能够：
运用所学听力策略从音频中获取未来在火星上生活的相关信息；
正确使用目标语言谈论想要去的星球并陈述理由；
运用所学语言和他人交际。
III. Teaching procedures
课时教学内容概述
本课时为口语交际活动，内容围绕在其他星球上的未来生活展开。学生运用本单元所学内容，结合听力和口语表达策略，完成听力训练和口语活动。Activity 1为听力理解活动，分为A和B两部分。在听之前，学生阅读句子预测音频内容大意。A要求学生根据内容填空。B要求学生再听一遍音频，给句子排序。两部分由浅入深地帮助学生获得和梳理音频中的关键信息，了解主人公在火星上的生活。在完成听力训练活动后，学生根据音频内容归纳描述火星生活的目标语言，为后续的口语输出活动做储备。Activity 2为口头表达活动。学生分组，借助图片和所给信息，展开想象，运用所学语言谈论想要去的星球并陈述理由，然后在班级上进行汇报。

Step 1 Lead-in Read the sentences and predict what the text is about. 根据学生的表现，判断学生提取细节信息和听前预测的能力。
设计意图：通过引导学生阅读句子，提取细节信息，预测音频内容大意，为听力训练任务做准备。
Step 2 Listening Listen to the letter and complete the sentences in Activity 1A. 2. Check the answers. 3. Listen again and put the sentences in Activity 1B in order. 4. Check the answers. 5. Read the letter in Activity 1 aloud. Pay attention to the stresses, pauses and rhythms. 观察学生听力训练活动完成情况，评价他们在听的过程中获取和记录关键信息的能力。 观察学生朗读和模仿听力文本的情况，给予必要指导和反馈。
设计意图：通过多层次的听力训练活动，培养学生运用听前预测音频文本大意、听中获取和记录关键信息的听的能力。
Step 3 Oral Communication Work in groups. Look at the pictures, choose one planet to visit and list the reasons, using the information in the box. Make a report in class. 观察学生在小组活动中的表现，判断他们能否在口语交际中较为准确地使用词语和表达法, 语音、语调是否准确。
设计意图: 通过小组成员间的口语交际活动，引导学生在口头表达中使用恰当的句型和流畅的语言表达自己的观点和理由，提升学生的口语交际能力。
