Not every invention is created on purpose. Sometimes it's completely by accident! For example, in 1928, Dr Alexander fleming forgot to clean his lab before going on a holiday. Later, he discovered penicillin from an uncleaned Petri dish, it's now one of the most used medicines in the world!

Invention story: Bubble wrap was first invented as a type of wallpaper. However, the product failed. But the inventors didn't give up. They started thinking of other uses and found more than 400! Several years later, when they decided to use it as packaging material, they found success. With bubble wrap, a computer company could ship the computers safely.
