and, but 和 because 的用法
1. and (和，并且)
功能：表示并列、递进或添加的关系，连接两个相似或相关的成分。
含义： “和”、“并且”、“而且”。它把事物加起来，不产生转折或因果。
例句：
o I like apples and bananas. (连接两个名词) 我喜欢苹果和香蕉。
o He is tall and smart. (连接两个形容词) 他很高并且很聪明。
o She opened the door and walked in. (连接两个动词短语) 她打开门并且走了进去。
2. but (但是，然而)
功能：表示转折或对比的关系，连接两个意思相反或相对的成分。
含义： “但是”、“然而”。它引出的是一个与前面内容相反或意想不到的情况。
例句：
o He is rich, but he is not happy. (前后情感对比) 他很有钱，但是他并不快乐。
o I want to go to the party, but I have to study. (愿望与现实的对比) 我想去派对，但是我必须学习。
o The room is small but comfortable. (连接两个形容词，表示转折) 房间很小但是很舒适。
3. because (因为)
功能：表示因果关系，用来引出原因或理由。
含义： “因为”。它回答的是“为什么”这个问题。
结构： 结果 + because + 原因
例句：
o I stayed at home because it was raining. (下雨是呆在家里的原因) 我呆在家里因为下雨了。
o She was happy because she got a good grade. (好成绩是高兴的原因) 她很开心因为她取得了好成绩。
o Because he was ill, he didn't go to school. (生病是没去上学的原因) 因为他病了，所以他没有去上学。
【重要区别】because vs. so (因为 vs. 所以)
中文里常说“因为...所以...”，但在英语里，because 和 so 不能在同一句话中连用！它们就像水管的两个阀门，只能打开一个。
o 错误: Because it was raining, so I stayed at home.
o 正确: Because it was raining, I stayed at home. (只用 because)
o 正确: It was raining, so I stayed at home. (只用 so)
