核心语法：enough 的用法
一、 核心词性：两种角色
“enough” 在句中可以扮演两种角色：
形容词： 意为“足够的，充分的”，用来修饰名词。
副词： 意为“足够地，充分地”，用来修饰形容词或副词。
二、 用法一：作形容词修饰名词
结构：
1、enough + 名词
2、名词 + enough (这种结构较少见，通常用于某些固定表达或当名词有较长的后置定语时)
例句：
We have enough time to finish the homework. （我们有足够的时间来完成作业。）
Is there enough food for everyone （有足够的食物给每个人吗？）
I don't have enough money to buy a new computer. （我没有足够的钱买新电脑。）
He was fool enough to believe her. （他傻到足以相信她。 - 固定用法）
注意事项：
enough 作形容词时，既可以修饰可数名词，也可以修饰不可数名词。
修饰可数名词时，名词常用复数形式。
enough books (足够的书)
enough students (足够的学生)
三、 用法二：作副词修饰形容词或副词
结构： 形容词/副词 + enough + (for sb) + to do sth
这个结构是中考的重点，表示“足够...可以去做某事”。
例句：
He is old enough to go to school. （他足够大了，可以去上学了。）
The room is big enough for us to live in. （这个房间足够大，适合我们居住。）
She ran quickly enough to catch the bus. （她跑得足够快，赶上了公交车。）
The problem is easy enough for me to solve. （这个问题足够简单，我能够解决。）
注意事项：
enough 作副词时，必须放在它所修饰的形容词或副词之后。这是最常见的考点！
（√）good enough （足够好）
（×）~~enough good~~
后面的动词不定式 to do sth 表示自然的结果。如果不定式的动词是及物动词，则后面直接接宾语；如果是不及物动词，则需加上必要的介词。
The ice is thick enough to walk on. （冰足够厚，可以在上面走。）- “walk” 是不及物动词，需要加介词 “on”。
He is strong enough to carry the box. （他足够强壮，能搬动这个箱子。）- “carry” 是及物动词，直接接宾语。
四、 特殊用法与固定搭配
1、作代词： 单独使用，代替前面提到过的名词，避免重复。
—Would you like some more coffee （你还要点咖啡吗？）
—No, thanks. I've had enough. （不了，谢谢。我已经喝够了。）
2、固定句型：... enough to do... / ... too... to...
这两个句型意思相反，常放在一起对比学习。
enough to do： 表示“足够...能够...”（肯定意义）
too... to...： 表示“太...而不能...”（否定意义）
He is old enough to join the army. （他够年龄了，可以参军。）
He is too young to join the army. （他太年轻了，不能参军。）
3、cannot/can never... enough： 表示“再...也不为过”
You cannot be careful enough. （你再小心也不为过。）
I can never thank you enough. （我对你感激不尽。）
五、 总结与易错点
1、位置是关键：
修饰名词时，enough 放在名词前面 (enough + n.)。
修饰形容词/副词时，enough 放在形容词/副词后面 (adj./adv. + enough)。
2、不定式to do： adj./adv. + enough 后面常接不定式 to do sth 表示结果，要注意不定式动词后介词的完整性。
3、区分词性： 首先要判断 enough 在句中是在修饰名词还是形容词/副词，从而决定其位置。
