1. 辨析:instead of与instead
两者均可意为“代替”。区别如下:
instead of 介词短语
instead
常位于句首或句末,修饰整个句子
副词
位于句首或句中,其后可接名词、代词或动词-ing形式
串记:
We shouldn’t use plastic bags. Instead, we should take our own bags. Besides, we should also walk instead of driving to the supermarket.
我们不应该使用塑料袋。相反,我们应该带自己的包。此外,我们也应该步行而不是开车去超市。
2. trust
①(不可数名词)信任;相信
◇ If you put your trust in me,I will not disappoint you.
