形容词和副词的最高级的用法
1、形容词和副词的最高级
形容词和副词的最高级用于比较三个或三个以上的人或事物，表明在某方面“最… …” 的性质、特征或动作程度。
2、形容词和副词的最高级的构成
（1）规则变化

3. 形容词和副词的最高级的用法
（1）表示三者或以上的人或事物中某一个在某一方面超过其他几个，后面可用带有of、in、among的短语等来说明比较的范围。
基本结构：A+be /实义动词+形容词/副词最高级+of/in/among…
例句：The blue whale is the largest and heaviest animal in the world.
蓝鲸是世界上最大、最重的动物。
In my country, July is the hottest month of the year.
在我的国家，七月是一年中最热的月份。
The cheetah runs (the)fastest among all land animals.
猎豹在所有陆地动物中跑得最快。
【注意】形容词最高级的前面一般要加定冠词the,副词最高级前的the可以省去。
（2）用于表达“最......”的那个。
例句：Which is the most beautiful, the rose, the peony, or the lotus flower
玫瑰、牡丹和莲花，哪一种最美丽？
（3）“one of the +形容词最高级+可数名词复数”最…… 之一
例句：Ginkgo trees are one of the oldest living trees on earth.
银杏树是地球上现存最古老的树木之一。
（4）表达 “第二、第三…… ” 时，结构为：the + 序数词 + 最高级。
例如：The Amazon River is the second longest river in the world.
亚马逊河是世界上第二长的河流。
4、修饰最高级
为了更准确地表达最高程度，可以用一些词或短语来修饰最高级。常见的有 “by far”（最…… ；显然） ，“nearly”（几乎），“almost”（几乎）等。
例如：This is by far the best movie I've ever seen. 这显然是我看过的最好的电影。
