　　Tang Hongbo was born in 1975. When he was in high school, he told his dad he wanted to be a pilot. His parents were happy and supported his dream! Tang worked hard and passed all the tests. He got into the Fifth Flying Academy of the PLA Air Force to learn to fly a plane. After graduation, Tang became a pilot in Xinjiang.
However, flying a real plane was much harder than he thought. After eight years of training, Tang got good at flying and became the leader of his flying team. He liked the sound of the plane's engines(发动机) when it took off, and he loved flying through the clouds!
In 2010, Tang became one of China's astronauts. Eleven years later, he was chosen to go to space with two other astronauts, Nie Haisheng and Liu Boming. They flew in Shenzhou-12. On July 4, Tang went on a spacewalk. It was his first time outside the spaceship while in space. He felt so proud!
　　On October 26, 2023, Tang, as the leader of the Shenzhou-17 mission(太空飞行任务), went back to space with another two astronauts, Tang Shengjie and Jiang Xinlin. Tang became the first astronaut to return to the Tiangong space station and set a new record for Chinese astronauts by going on two missions in such a short time.

Scientists in Britain and the US have made a new kind of enzyme (酵素) that eats plastics(塑料). With its help, plastics can be turned into smaller parts and go away quickly.
The enzyme is able to break down PET,a form of plastic. PET is now widely used to make plastic bottles. It can remain in the environment for many years and pollute large areas of land.
The researchers made the discovery(发现) while examining the structure of a natural enzyme in Japan. They found that the natural enzyme was helping to break down PET plastics. So, they decided to make small changes to the enzyme by adding some amino acids(氨基酸). It made the natural enzyme’s plastic- eating abilities work faster and better.
John McGeehan, one of the lead researchers, said, “ We’ ve made an improved enzyme. And we are trying to make more improvements to it.” He went on,“ The enzyme is not harmful to humans or animals, and it is friendly to the environment. So we are considering putting it into wider use. We’ ll see that the plastic pollution may be stopped with this technology. However, there is still a long way to go.”
