Moss is a small, green and ancient plant that grows in wet areas. It has no flowers or roots and feels like a soft carpet (地毯).
very tall: over 100 meters
strong and thick bark(树皮)
grow in USA: mostly in California
very old: can live 2000 years
Redwoods are giant, ancient trees that grow in California’s foggy coasts/mountains!
the largest and heaviest animal
eat tiny food: eat krill(磷虾)—4 tons a day
heart size: as big as a small car
Blue whales are gentle giants, with a heart the size of a car, but they only eat tiny krill.
the fastest land animal: runs in 100km/h
light body: slim, long legs and flexible spine(灵活的脊柱), long tail for balance
special marks:black “tear lines” on the face and black spots
Cheetahs are the fastest land animals, reaching 100km/h in short bursts.

句子重音(Sentence Stress)
在英语句子中,实词(如名词、动词、形容词、副词等)承载重要信息,一般需要重读; 而充当语法功能的词(如冠词、连词、介词、助动词等)一般弱读。但这条读音规律并非一成不变,句子中的重音可以随着说话者要表达的意思的变化而变化。
例如:
