第16周 读后续写主题练1 个人成长
个人成长类的读后续写语篇的主题语境一般为“人与自我”。该主题语境下包括两大主题群:生活与学习、做人与做事。因此,此话题下的读后续写语篇的场景设定一般是学校、家庭及工作场所。续写结尾一般应指向个人成长的内容,如:生活方式变得更健康、生活态度变得更积极、品行得到提升、人格得到升华以及能更好地规划接下来的学习、生活及职业道路。
近几年高考中考查过此类故事的有:2023年新课标卷讲了母语非英语的“我”参加英语写作比赛(续写重点:比赛后的获奖情况以及对老师感恩的细节描述);2022年新课标卷讲了大卫因身体原因不想参加跑步比赛(续写重点:在作者的开导下决定完成比赛的心理斗争以及比赛过程中如何克服困难、凭借坚强的毅力完成比赛)。
考生设计此类故事的续写情节时,要注意对主人公动作行为及心理变化的细节刻画。挑战自我型故事模型通常为:
高分句式
1.成长前的苦恼(不自信、恐惧)

遇险脱困是读后续写中非常重要的一类故事,它并不只出现在“人与自然”主题语境中,在“人与社会”主题语境下,也会有火灾、洪水、溺水、迷路、交通事故、突发疾病等紧急情况。从最初当事人遇险的惊慌害怕,绝望无助,到救助者想办法救援,再到最后当事人获救的宽慰和感激,涉及一系列的表达。

应用文是人们日常生活和工作中广泛使用的一种文体,也是高考写作的文体之一。命题形式多为文字提示,写作形式有书信(建议信、邀请信、道歉信、感谢信、求助信、咨询信、告知信、推荐信、申请信等)、电子邮件、通知、报道、短文投稿、倡议书和发言稿等。
一、评分原则与评分标准
评分原则
1.本题总分为15分,按5个档次评分。
2.评分时,先根据文章的内容和语言初步确定其所属档次,然后按该档次的要求来衡量、确定或调整档次,最后给分。
3.词数少于60的,从总分中减去2分。
4.评分时,应注意的主要内容为:内容要点、应用词汇和语法结构的丰富性和准确性以及上下文的连贯性。
5.拼写与标点符号是语言准确性的一个方面,评分时,应视其对交际的影响程度予以考虑。英、美拼写及其词汇用法均可接受。
6.如书写较差,以至于影响交际,则将分数降低一个档次。

二、写作步骤
五步成文 第一步:审题谋篇 审题 包括审文体、审时态(主要用什么时态)、审对象(写给谁)、审人称(以第几人称写)、审要点(圈出要点,根据情境说明和写作要点思考要写哪些内容,并在试卷上圈出来)。
谋篇 (三段式) 开头段往往是问好,自我介绍和点明写作的意图; 中间段是文章的主体,全面涵盖要点内容; 结尾段往往表达希望和祝愿。
第二步:构思词句 根据文体需要或主题需要,并结合常识,列出汉语词汇,然后将不成句的要点词汇拓展成8-12个句子(一般来说,包含主语和谓语便是句子,即某人做某事或什么是什么等)。再根据英语基本句型的结构或文体的要求等将上述句子用正确得体的英语表达出来。当遇到表达不了的词汇时,就用近义词或句型将大概意思表达出来即可。
第三步:组句成篇 将上述句子连成一篇通顺连贯的短文,必要时可能需要用连词连成并列句或主从复合句,或增加连接性副词,如however,besides等。
第四步:规范誊写 一手漂亮的英文可能会让阅卷老师为你的作文提高一个档次。因此,平时要花时间练好英文书法,并在平时的写作中养成规范书写的好习惯。
第五步:誊后复查 在誊写完后,再通读一遍,看看在誊写过程中有没有出错。
三、高分策略指导
策略1 会用高级词汇
在写作中恰当地使用一些贴切地道的高级表达对提高书面表达的得分档次至关重要。很多学生非常熟悉并习惯使用概括性较强的笼统词,如:在形容一个人的性格品质时,大多数人都会写“She is nice.”但nice不足以表达出一个人的品质。所以,最好选用一些具体词,从而形象地描述或反映一个人的性格品质。像“generous大方的,kind-hearted仁慈的,warm-hearted热心的,hospitable好客的,easy-going随和的,gentle温和的,considerate考虑周到的,cultivated有教养的,humorous幽默的,smart聪明的”等形容人的具体词,都能成为文章的亮点。

一、评分原则与评分标准
评分原则
1.本题总分为25分,按5个档次给分。

策略1 细读文本 获取有效信息
1.理清六要素,串联人物活动
记叙文有六要素,即时间(when)、地点(where)、人物(who)、起因(reason)、经过(development)和结果(ending)。事件的经过包括三个部分:开端—发展—高潮。在找到这些要素之后,将它们串联起来,就可以得到故事的核心脉络。因此,我们在读所给材料时,要有意识地关注这几个要素,这是我们获取文章主要内容的重要途径。此类方法适合要素明确、结构相对简单的文章。

4.留意文本细节,挖掘隐含伏笔
核心冲突的解决方案可能在故事的中间段落已被暗示出来。中间段落是故事发展的过程,在这个过程中,作者也可以设置解决核心冲突的伏笔。

...He hesitated and then said he had decided not to run.
What was wrong He had worked so hard for this event!

5.推敲尾段,发现冲突暗示
一些读后续写所给语篇尾段的描述体现了人物内心冲突或人物关系冲突的迹象或开端,而续写段落应该是冲突的发展、高潮,在语篇尾段中准确捕捉冲突的伏笔可帮助我们合理构思情节的发展和高潮。

After long discussions we somehow agreed to do a study on the psychological well-being of teenagers.I wasn’t sure what it meant exactly,but at least we had a topic.
分析 上文描述作者成绩一般。面对一个专心学习、成绩优秀但自傲的合作伙伴,作者感到自卑、消极。尾段介绍,经过长时间的讨论,作者与合作伙伴最终设法确定了项目主题,这为续写部分中他们定期研讨项目情节做好了铺垫。“I wasn’t sure what it meant exactly”这句话也为续写段落中作者在项目研讨中的表现埋下了伏笔。
典例2 (2021·浙江6月)
My labors lasted about two weeks,and the farmer said there might be more work,but I wasn’t interested.I decided it was not fair that I had to contribute my money.
分析 上文描述作者得知他打工挣来的钱要贴补家庭开销而不能随心花了,为此他心情不悦。所以在尾段中,作者对可能还有更多的工作要做并不感兴趣。同时作者认为把自己挣来的钱贡献出来不公平。这为下文即续写段落中他与父亲就他挣到的钱的用途产生冲突埋下了伏笔。
策略2 依据线索 构建情节框架
对所给文本后面的故事情节及故事结尾的推断是写好读后续写的前提。高考所给的读后续写是半开放性的,这种形式既可以让人充分发挥想象力,又能让人有章可循。可以根据下表中的口诀来确定每段要写的内容:
两段首句定一框 即根据两段所给首句来确定第一段的框架 二框二首正能量 即第二段的框架由第二段的首句和正能量结尾来确定
根据(2024·新课标Ⅰ、Ⅱ)续写第一段所给首句“I ran back to Gunter and told him the bad news.”再结合续写第二段首句“Four days later,when I was back in Vienna,I called Gunter as promised.”,使用“两段首句定一框”策略,可以推断出续写的第一段应侧重介绍Gunter让“我”马上去开会,有空的时候再还钱就行。“我”很感动,要来Gunter的电话号码,马上就去开会了。
根据第二段首句与正能量的结尾即“二框二首正能量”策略,确定第二段应侧重介绍“我”与Gunter在上次分手的地方见了面,还了车费,表示感谢。最后再点题升华,表明“我”由衷感激遇到这么好的人。
在理清故事情节、确定续写方向后,我们需要依据文脉走向,构思续写内容。这时,我们可以先在能够明显起到衔接作用、表现故事结局和反映语篇主题的典型位置按顺序写5句话:
句①:依据情节总的走向判定并写出故事结局;
句②:依据故事主题写出启示和感悟,以提炼或升华主题;
句③:依据续写第二段首句写出续写第一段的最后一句与之衔接;
句④:承接续写第一段首句,描写人物的心理和情感反应以及随之产生的行为或言语;
句⑤:承接续写第二段首句,描写人物的心理和情感反应以及随之产生的行为或言语。

策略3 围绕主题 充实细节内容
在已定框架范围内,依据情节发展和生活常识,推断故事中人物所见、所闻、所思、所说、所做,选择性地加入多角度的细节描写,增加故事的可信度、真实度和饱满度,给每段增加约5至8个具体细节,我们称之为“58细节添加法”。
读后续写通常是人物、主题、情节融合或交织在一起的叙事性文体。情节是按照因果逻辑组织起来的一系列事件,作者往往通过情节来展现人物性格、表达中心思想。因此,续写情节的设计要关照人物形象的刻画和主题的凸显。没有好的故事情节和语篇框架,有再多的好词好句也是枉然,也只能是词语堆砌。续写中应把情节内容和语言形式合二为一,形成合力。但是,值得注意的是高考续写中的情节设计又不能天马行空,不能脱离题目给定的前文和两段首句。我们必须依据情节发展和常识,在给定的框架内,按“所见、所闻、所说、所做、所感”等给每段写5至8个句子。
策略4 吸睛结尾 升华文章主题
在读后续写中,结尾发挥着非常重要的作用,精彩的结尾好似画龙点睛,让人回味无穷。常见的结尾方式有景物描写结尾、哲理性语言结尾、自然结尾等。考生应根据文章的主题,借助丰富的句子结构来打造完美结尾。以下是常用的几种读后续写的结尾方法。
1.首尾照应法
结尾与开头照应,有时可引用作者在开头的观点,甚至以与开头语一模一样的单词或短语结尾。结尾回到文章开头阐明的中心思想或主题句上,深化主题,起到画龙点睛的作用。但是注意一点,不要照搬开头的句子,要变化句式或者用词来表达相同的主题。
(1)开头:I had an interesting childhood.It was filled with surprises and amusements,all because of my mother—loving,sweet,yet absent-minded and forgetful.One strange family trip we took when I was eleven tells a lot about her.
结尾:Despite mom’s being absent-minded and forgetful,she is still a kind and nice mom.
(2)开头:It was summer,and my dad wanted to treat me to a vacation like never before.He decided to take me on a trip to the Wild West.

2.哲理寓意法
哲理式结尾,即在结尾用富含哲理性的语句总结全文,升华主旨,并给人以启示。其一般用于引申文意,起到“言已尽而意无穷”的效果,使文章的中心更突出。同学们平常可以积累一些富含哲理的段落或句子,若将之运用到文章的结尾,不仅能深化主题,而且能引人深思,给读者以有益的启迪。

策略5 打磨润色 善用高级句式
读后续写对语言综合运用能力要求更高。要增添“读后续写”的表达效果,不仅要有词汇量的积累,还要注意避免使用泛泛而谈的词汇,应该多使用具体的词汇使表达更加准确到位。 只有准确、连续的动作和夸张丰富的表情以及细致的心理活动描写,才能让人物栩栩如生!
1.动作描写——动作链
在读后续写的写作过程中,成功的动作描写可以交代人物的身份、地位,可以反映人物心理活动的进程,也可以表现人物的性格特征。人物的动作或简单或复杂,都不是一下子就能完成的,细心观察才能捕捉到最能体现人物特征的慢镜头。因此,在描写动作时,要学会细化动作,把动作过程分解成一连串细微的动作,形成动作链,写出动作的连贯性,这样才能使描写具有画面感,使人物更立体。动作链有以下结构形式:
·动作A+B+and+C ·句子+-ing ·句子+having done ·句子+-ed ·句子谓语连动+-ing
He stopped the taxi,jumped in with the suitcase and told the driver,“Go to the police station,please.”
他拦下了出租车,拿着箱子跳进车里,然后对司机说:“请到警察局去。”
The boys rushed to the lake,took off their clothes and jumped into the water.

2.形容词(短语)作状语
形容词(短语)在句中作状语,可以表明主语所处的状态。如:
Lost in the mountain for two days,these students were finally rescued by the local police.这些学生在山里迷路两天后最终被当地警察救了出来。
Speechless and happy,she held her son tightly into her arms,with tears welling up in her eyes.她高兴得说不出话来,紧紧地抱着她的儿子,热泪盈眶。
3.with复合结构
with复合结构可以丰富句子的内容,其作用一般相当于一个状语从句,可以表示原因、条件、伴随、结果、方式等。如:
(2024·新课标Ⅰ、Ⅱ)I ran back to Gunter and told him the bad news.“Sorry,I can’t take cash out,” I said embarrassedly,with my face burning.我跑回Gunter那里,告诉他这个坏消息。“对不起,我不能取出现金。”我尴尬地说着,我的脸发烫。
(2023·新课标Ⅰ、Ⅱ)There was nobody inside.I slipped in and gingerly set the trophy on my teacher’s desk with a note attached,saying,“It’s a glory for both of us!Your inspiration seems a beacon guiding my way ahead.”
里面没有人。我溜进去,小心翼翼地把奖杯放在老师的桌子上,并附上一张纸条,上面写着:“这是我们俩的荣耀!你的鼓舞就像指引我前进的灯塔。”
On hearing of the unexpected news,she was so surprised that she froze with her mouth wide open.听到这个意外的消息,她惊讶得目瞪口呆。
4.独立主格结构
独立主格结构的构成为“名词/代词+现在分词/过去分词/不定式/形容词/介词短语”,其作用相当于一个状语从句。如:
I embraced my father without a word,tears streaming.我默默拥抱着父亲,泪流满面。
She thought of Tom,memories flooding out as she closed her eyes and recalled the kindness of him.
她想起了汤姆,当她闭上眼睛,回忆起他的友善时,往事涌上心头。
My heart pumping wildly and my blood pulsing through my veins,I pulled back the reins,distracted the horse and tried every means to stop the horse but in vain.我的心在狂跳,血液在静脉中跳动,我拉住缰绳,转移马的注意力,用尽一切办法想让马停下来,但都是徒劳。
The boy rushed to the old man’s house,his face covered with sweat.男孩冲到老人家里,满脸是汗。
5.复合句
常用的复合句有定语从句、名词性从句和状语从句。如:
(2023·新课标Ⅰ、Ⅱ)I firstly expressed my gratitude to my beloved teacher and said,“What you said gave me a great deal of encouragement,which inspired my motivation for writing.I wouldn’t have succeeded without your help.”
我首先对我敬爱的老师表示感谢,并说:“您说的话给了我很大的鼓励,激发了我写作的动力。没有您的帮助,我不可能取得成功。”
Eagerly,the twins gazed at their mother,whose eyes were filled with tears of thrill.双胞胎热切地注视着妈妈,她的眼里充满激动的泪水。
That’s why Anna was surprised the following day when Bobby had made several ads.这就是第二天鲍比做了几个广告时安娜感到惊讶的原因。
Cold and tired though we were,the kids’ smiling faces cheered us up.虽然我们又冷又累,但孩子们的笑脸使我们振奋起来。
6.倒装句型
为了突出或强调句子中的某个部分,我们可以将其置于句首,形成倒装结构。如:
Hearing the dog barking fiercely,away fled the thief.听到狗凶猛的叫声,小偷逃走了。
(2024·新课标Ⅰ、Ⅱ)So surprised and moved was I that I couldn’t say a word out.我既惊讶又感动,一句话也说不出来。
Not only did we lose all our money,but we also lost our way.我们不仅丢了所有的钱,还迷了路。
Only when you find peace in your heart will you keep good relationships with others.只有当你找到内心的平静时,你才能跟别人保持良好的关系。
Never had Jane missed Tom so much.Even a quarrel would be sweet now.简从来没有这么想念过汤姆。现在即使是争吵也会是甜蜜的。
7.强调句型
强调句型的基本结构为“It is/was+被强调部分+that/who+其他部分”。如:
(2024·新课标Ⅰ、Ⅱ)It was at that time that I felt blessed to have met such a warm-hearted man like Gunter who had a heart of gold.
就在那个时候,我感到很幸运能遇到像Gunter这样有金子般火热心肠的人。
(2023·新课标Ⅰ、Ⅱ)It was at that moment that I was overwhelmed with gratitude to my teacher.就在那一刻,我对老师充满了感激之情。
It was not until then that I came to realize that we should always be honest.
直到那时我才意识到我们应该永远诚实。
8.虚拟语气
在表示假设的、与事实相反的或难以实现的情况时用虚拟语气;表示主观愿望或某种强烈情感时,也用虚拟语气。如:
If there hadn’t been your help,the boy would have failed in the test.要是没有你的帮助,这个男孩就会在测试中不及格。
But for this experience,she wouldn’t have realized that she should spend more time with her family.
如果没有这次经历,她就不会意识到她应该花更多的时间和家人在一起。
If only I had not made such a stupid mistake.
要是我过去没有犯这样一个愚蠢的错误就好了。
It’s high time that we focused/should focus our attention on our study.
该是我们把注意力集中在学习上的时候了。
(2024·新课标Ⅰ、Ⅱ)Without his help,I couldn’t have made it to the conference.
没有他的帮助,我不可能成功参加会议。
9.“无灵主语”句
“无灵主语”简单理解就是“没有生命”的东西作主语,比如时间、地点、自然现象等。比如“My love goes to everybody.”中love就是没有生命力的名词,但是go就是有生命力的动词。
“无灵主语”常用的有以下三种结构:

常见特定的动词(短语) seize抓住;catch抓住(过去式caught);surround围绕;sweep突然袭来(过去式swept);take hold of控制;wash over(情绪)突然而深刻地袭来;come over(奇怪的或令人惊讶的情绪)攫住(某人);envelop笼罩;overwhelm(感情或感觉)充溢,难以承受;surge over涌动
(1)Uncontrollably,a wave of regret washed over me as I heard the bad news.听到这个坏消息时,一股悔恨的情绪无法控制地涌上我的心头。
(2)A wave of astonishment swept over me.

10.巧用修辞手法
无论是在汉语还是在英语中,修辞都是一门具有独特魅力的艺术。在读后续写中,恰当地运用修辞手法可以使平淡的语言变得鲜活、生动,从而增强文章的表现力,也有助于获得高分。较为常用的修辞手法有比喻和拟人两种。
(1)比喻
比喻是根据事物之间的相似点,把某一事物比作另一事物,从而把抽象的事物说得具体、形象,把深奥的道理说得通俗、浅显、明白。常见的比喻形式有明喻和暗喻两种。
①明喻通常是把被比喻的“本体”和用以比喻的“喻体”同时说出,说明本体事物像喻体事物。它是最简单、最常见的一种修辞手法,其常见的标志词有like,as,as if,as though等。
Jenny couldn’t resist her inner joy,flying into the door like a bird.(情感描写)珍妮控制不住内心的喜悦,像小鸟一样飞进了家门。
The scenery along the journey is just like a breathtaking landscape painting.(景物描写)
沿途的风景就像一幅令人叹为观止的山水画。
The icy wind started howling,cutting my face like a sharp knife.(环境描写)
寒风开始咆哮,像锋利的小刀一样刺痛了我的脸。

②暗喻与明喻不同,暗喻不通过比喻词表现出来,而是直接将一种事物当成另一种事物来描写,此时两种事物之间的联系和相似之处都是暗含的。暗喻较明喻而言更加简洁,也更加生动、深刻,表现力强。
Her hair was a golden river streaming down her shoulders.(肖像描写)
她的头发像是一条流淌在她肩上的金色河流。
The beautiful park was a scented carpet of color.(景物描写)
那个美丽的公园就像一块芬芳的彩色地毯。

(2)拟人
拟人就是把事物人格化,它既能生动形象地写出某事物的某个特点,又使事物具有拟人化后特有的具象效果。

微风轻柔地亲吻着她的脸颊。
The feathery snowflakes danced in the night air,making a beautiful picture.(景物描写)
鹅毛般的雪花在夜空中飞舞,构成了一幅美丽的图画。

Fear seized/swallowed him.(情感描写)

11.细节描绘语料
细节描绘语料包括一些细微的动作描写如:头部动作、眼部动作、嘴部动作、手部动作和腿部动作等,情感心理描写如:开心快乐、兴奋激动、悲伤哭泣、愤怒生气、害怕恐惧、好奇吃惊和满意感动等,以及对话描写。这些描写丰富细腻,不仅使故事生动形象,而且能引起读者共鸣。由于这部分内容较多,集中起来不便记忆,而且容易遗忘,所以在后面的周练中陆续列出,供学生长期使用,分散记忆。
