Start with a small talk. Begin with simple topics like “How was your weekend ” before moving to deeper subjects. This helps both people feel comfortable.
Don’t just listen, share something about yourself too. If your friend talks about their soccer game, you could talk about when you played sports. This way, both people get to talk and it’s more fun.
Notice when to end. Watch for signs the other person wants to stop talking (like looking away or giving short answers). It’s okay to politely say, “Well, I should get going.”

them. Just move on to another topic.

2. Be honest and sincere. If you have no idea of a subject,
