1 New Words
together /t ɡe (r)/ adv. together; jointly. For example, "We often go to the library together."

fun /f n/ n. pleasure; joke; adj. interesting. For example, "We have a lot of fun." (n.); "It is a fun game." (adj.)
2 Phrases
play ping - pong: play table tennis. For example, "They like to play ping - pong."
have a lot of fun: have a great time. For example, "We have a lot of fun playing games."
3 Grammar
Personal Pronouns:
Subject form: I, you, he, she, it, we, they. Used as the subject of a sentence. For example, "She likes to sing."
Object form: me, you, him, her, it, us, them. Used as the object of a verb or preposition. For example, "We call her Ms Liu."
Possessive Pronouns:
Adjective form: my, your, his, her, its, our, their. Used to modify nouns. For example, "This is my friend."
Noun form: mine, yours, his, hers, its, ours, theirs. Used alone without a following noun. For example, "The book is mine."
教学过程
1 Lead - in (5 minutes)
Greet the students as usual.
Show some pictures of students' activities in school on the PPT, such as playing basketball, reading in the library, etc. Then ask the students some questions:
"Who is your best friend in the new school "
"What does he/she like to do "
Encourage several students to answer these questions. This can arouse students' interest and lead to the topic of introducing people in this lesson.
2 Presentation (10 minutes)
New Words Teaching:
Show pictures related to new words on the PPT. For the word "together", show a picture of several students walking together. Explain the meaning and let students read the word aloud.
For the word "join", show a picture of a student joining a club activity. Teach students the different usages of "join" through examples.
For the word "fun", show a picture of students having a good time at a party. Explain the meaning of "fun" as a noun and an adjective.
Let students read the new words in different ways, such as individual reading, group reading, to make sure they can pronounce them correctly.
Grammar Teaching:
Present some sentences from the passage on the PPT, such as "We call her Ms Liu." "She likes to sing." "This is my friend."
Underline the personal pronouns and possessive pronouns in these sentences. Explain the forms and usages of personal pronouns (subject form and object form) and possessive pronouns (adjective form) to students. Use simple examples to illustrate, for example, "I love my mother. She loves me too."
Let students do some simple exercises on the PPT to distinguish the forms of pronouns.
3 Listening (5 minutes)
Let students open their textbooks to page 6. Tell them that they will listen to the passage about the class photo.
Play the recording of the passage for the first time. Let students listen carefully and get a general idea of the content.
Play the recording again. This time, ask students to listen and answer the following questions on the PPT:
"What's our English teacher's name "
"What does she like to do "
"What does Li Feng like to do "
"Who is the boy in a cap "
Check the answers with the students. This step can help students improve their listening skills and get familiar with the content of the passage.
4 Reading (10 minutes)
Fast Reading:
Let students read the passage in Part 2 quickly and write the names of the people in the photo on page 6.
After they finish, check the answers in class. This can train students' ability to quickly find key information in the text.
Careful Reading:
Let students read the passage carefully again. Divide them into groups of four. Each group discusses and summarizes the characteristics and hobbies of each person in the passage.
Then, ask each group to choose a representative to come to the front of the class and introduce one person in the passage according to the group's discussion. The teacher gives guidance and correction in time. This step can deepen students' understanding of the passage and improve their speaking ability.
5 Practice (10 minutes)
Grammar Practice:
Present more sentences on the PPT. Let students replace the parts in yellow with proper pronouns and complete the exercises. For example, "Li Feng is my friend. I like to read books with Li Feng." (Replace "Li Feng" with the appropriate pronoun)
Check the answers and explain the reasons for choosing the pronouns.
Speaking Practice:
Let students take out their own photos (it can be a class photo, a photo with friends, etc.). They introduce one of their new friends or teachers in the photo to their deskmates. The teacher walks around the classroom to listen and give help if necessary.
Then, ask several students to stand up and introduce their friends or teachers to the whole class.
6 Summary and Homework (5 minutes)
Summary:

Homework:

Positive Aspects:
The lead - in part effectively aroused students' interest by asking questions related to their real - life experiences, which made it easier for them to enter the learning state.

Group work in the reading part promoted students' cooperation ability and communication skills. They actively participated in the discussion and showed good performance in introducing people.
Areas for Improvement:
In the listening part, some students still had difficulty catching the key information. Maybe the recording could be played one more time, or some pre - listening guidance could be given to help them better understand the task.
During the speaking practice, some students were a bit shy and not very confident in expressing themselves. In the future, more opportunities and encouragement should be provided to help them overcome this problem.
The time arrangement for grammar practice could be adjusted. Some students seemed to need more time to fully master the usage of pronouns. Maybe more in - class exercises and detailed explanations could be added.
