Step1 : Lead-in 运用PPT展现2001年9月11日美国纽约世贸大楼遭受恐怖袭击和国内抗震救灾的视频,通过这个情景设置来导入新课。 Step 2: Reading for the general ideas Read the passage quickly and find out “which two events does the writer mention ” Step 3: Reading for details Part 1: Have a brief understanding of the first event. Look at the pictures about the September 11 Attack in New York and learn the background of this event. Describe the pictures together and review the new phrases. Part 2: Reading for phrases. The teacher gives students five words and students read the first paragraph quickly and try to make phrases using the given words. Part 3: Reading for sentences. Read the first paragraph once again and make sentences using the phrases we have found. Part 4: Retell the first event. Work in groups of six and retell the story together. Step 4: Reading skills.
