(1)星期几的表达
英语中，表示星期的单词首字母要大写。在西方国家，星期日被看作一周的第一天。一周七天的表达如下：
星期日 星期一 星期二 星期三 星期四 星期五 星期六
Sunday Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday
询问今天是星期几,用“What day is it today ”,其答语是“It’ s+表示星期的名词.”。例如： —— What day is it today 今天星期几 — It's Tuesday. 星期二。 如果要表达在星期几，以及在星期几的上午/下午/晚上，前面的介词用 on。例如： I often read stories on Sunday morning. 我经常在星期日上午读故事。 There is a party on Friday evening.在星期五晚上有一个聚会。

(2) when 和 what time 的区别
when 和 what time都可以对时间进行提问,表示“什么时候”。 1. when所表示的时间范围广，可以用于询问年、月、日及具体时间。例如： —— When did you go there 你什么时候去那儿的 ——I went there in May in 1979.我1979年5月份去那儿的。(年份、月份) —— When do you often have lunch 你经常什么时候吃午餐 —— At eleven. 在十一点。(具体时间) 2. what time所询问的时间比较精确,用于询问“几点钟”或“几时几分”。“What time is it ”是用于询问具体时间的特殊疑问句,其同义句是“What's the time ”。例如: —— What time is it now / What's the time now 现在几点了 —— It's six forty. 六点四十了。 3. when也可以询问“几点钟”或“几时几分”的具体时间,此时 when 和 what time可以互换，其他时候它们不能互换。例如： —— When/ What time do you often have dinner 你经常什么时候吃晚餐 —— At six. 在六点。
