(1) 【不及物动词】其后不接宾语
e.g. Look! They are practising playing basketball.
瞧! 他们正在练习打篮球。
(2)【及物动词】后接名词、代词或动词-ing形式。
practise doing sth. 练习做某事
e.g. Tina still needs a lot of practice. 蒂娜仍然需要大量的练习。
拓展:practice 名词,有“练习;训练”的意思。
Tip:
在英式英语中,practise是动词,名词是practice;而在美式英语中practice 既是动词又是名词。
e.g. Jim is leaving for New York. 吉姆正动身去纽约。
Jim is leaving New York for Washington.
吉姆要离开纽约前往华盛顿。
3. Tomorrow morning we will leave for a farm to pick apples there.
(1) leave for + sp. 动身前往某地
