(1) 【不及物动词】其后不接宾语
e.g. Look! They are practising playing basketball.
瞧！ 他们正在练习打篮球。
(2)【及物动词】后接名词、代词或动词-ing形式。
practise doing sth. 练习做某事
e.g. Tina still needs a lot of practice. 蒂娜仍然需要大量的练习。
拓展：practice 名词，有“练习；训练”的意思。
Tip：
在英式英语中，practise是动词，名词是practice；而在美式英语中practice 既是动词又是名词。
e.g. Jim is leaving for New York. 吉姆正动身去纽约。
Jim is leaving New York for Washington.
吉姆要离开纽约前往华盛顿。
3. Tomorrow morning we will leave for a farm to pick apples there.
