Q1:What’s near the river
In a sunny day, mother duck has some eggs near the river, three small ones and a big one.
Q2:What does mother duck do
Mother duck sits on the four eggs. Three eggs open, and three small yellow duckling come out.
Q3:What happens to the big egg
The big egg opens later. An ugly duckling comes out. He is big and grey.
Q4:Why is the ugly ducking so lonely
The ugly duckling can’t sit on mother duck’s back, and no one wants to play with him. He is so lonely.
Q5:What happens in winter
The ugly duckling has no house. So in cold winter, he stays outside.
Q6:What happens in spring
Spring comes again. The ugly duckling hides in the grass. Two swans ask him to play with them. He looks into the water. He becomes a beautiful swan now.
