1. fashion designer 时装设计师
(1) fashion 作名词,意为“(衣服、发式等的) 流行款式;时兴式样”。in fashion 意为“流行”;out of fashion 意为“过时”。
Long skirts have come into fashion again. 长裙又流行起来了。
Jeans are still in fashion. 牛仔裤仍然流行。
Some styles never go out of fashion. 有些款式永远不会过时。

(2) designer作名词,意为“设计师”。
She wants to be a jewellery designer. 她想成为一名珠宝设计师。
【拓展】①design作动词,意为“设计;制图;构思”。design ... for ... 意为“为……设计……”。design sb sth 意为“为某人设计某物”。
They invited me to design a poster for the sports meeting. 他们请我为这次运动会设计一张海报。

realize作动词,意为“实现”,主语一般是人,后面常接dream, goal等名词作宾语,不用于进行时。

弱读
单词在句中可以强读,也可以弱读,主要取决于上下文所表达的意思。弱读时,单词的发音会发生变化,往往元音会弱化为/ /或省略不读。辅音也可能会简化或发音更轻。一个单词在强读或弱读时的不同发音就叫单词的强读式(strong form)或弱读式(weak form)。在句子中起粘合作用的助动词、代词、连词、冠词、情态动词等虚词常常会弱读。
