Evans is a student from Africa. His study experience in China gives him the chance to find a new China different from the one he has seen on TV and read about in books. He has been in China since the beginning of 2019. He is very happy with his decision to come and study here.
However, in the beginning, things didn’t go as well as Evans had imagined. The first hurdle (障碍) to jump was the language. He felt very uneasy because he was not able to speak or understand Chinese. Although the language trouble was a big problem, Evans felt better when a Chinese lady offered to help him when he was in need. His teachers and classmates also helped him a lot. Never has he met a nation so united in beliefs and culture.
Later on, Evans saw a rich show of culture and ingenuity (独创性) during the Spring Festival celebrations. The amazing dragons, which symbolize power, and the new look of old and traditional buildings were wonderful and heartwarming.
In day-to-day life, Evans was excited about China’s transportation most—especially shared bicycles and electric motor bikes. He thinks this not only makes the traffic smooth but even helps students commute (往返) between far-off classrooms at school. Besides, Evans also found China was one of the countries with the largest number of smart phone users. Internet is commonly available and used everywhere, which amazed Evans. He had never known that most of the young people even use their phones to buy most things they like.
Evans thinks China is a wonderful country. He wishes to have a long stay in this country till he has to say goodbye to his personal fairyland —China. Wish Evans luck!
11.How long has Evans been in China
12.Why did Evans feel uneasy when he arrived in China
13.Did Evans like the show of culture and ingenuity during the Spring Festival celebrations

Mrs. Whitson taught us science. On the first day,she gave us a lecture about a creature called the cattywampus,an animal that was wiped out during the Ice Age. She passed around a skull(头骨)as she talked. We all took notes and later had a quiz.
When she returned my paper,I was shocked. There was a big red X through each of my answers. I had failed. There had to be some mistakes!(A)我确切地记下了老师说的。Then I realized that everyone in the class had failed. What had happened?
Very simple,Mrs. Whitson explained. She had made up all the stuff about the cattywampus. There had never been any such animals. The information in our notes was, therefore, incorrect.
Needless to say,we were(B)outraged. What kind of test was this? And what kind of teacher? We should have figured it out,Mrs. Whitson said. After all,at every moment she was passing around the cattywampus skull(in truth,a cat's).Hadn't she been telling us that there was no such an animal? She had described its amazing night vision, the color of its fur and any number of other facts she couldn't have known. She had given the animal a ridiculous(荒谬的)name, and we still believed her words were right.
(C)The zeroes on our papers would be recorded in her grade book, she said. And they were.
Mrs. Whitson said she hoped we would learn something from this experience. She told us not to let our minds go to sleep, and to speak up if we ever thought she or the textbook was wrong.
15.Was the skull the teacher took to the classroom the cattywampus skull?
16.把(A)处划线部分的句子翻译成英语。
17.Why was the information in the students' notes incorrect?
18.猜测(B)处划线部分单词的意思,写一个同义词。

Rongchang, a small city in Chongqing, has become famous around the world for its traditional dish—Rongchang Braised Goose. The story began with Lin Jiang, a 48-year-old local man. To promote (推广) his hometown’s specialty (特产), he followed the Internet celebrity (名人) IShowSpeed across five cities. Every day, it seems, a new gadget (设备) promises to help me run farther and faster, sleep better, or monitor (监控) my heart rate more effectively (有效地). These gadgets claim they’ll make me a “better me,” or so the story goes.
Some of them might actually help, but a few months ago, I decided to sell all my sports gadgets. I now record my running times with just a pen and a notepad. Soon after, I started training for a marathon the old-fashioned way—without a device on my wrist tracking my pace or heart rate. To my surprise, running without all that information turned out to be a real joy.
In the past, whenever my smartwatch told me I was running slower than I “should,” I’d force myself to speed up, even if it was clear that my body didn’t want to. But this time, I ran the way I wanted to.
On several occasions (场合), I was surprised to see real breakthroughs (突破) in my running times when I checked my notepad after workouts. If I had seen those numbers during the run, I might have slowed down. But since I didn’t know, I just kept running.
Another positive thing about getting rid of all my running gadgets is that it’s helping me concentrate (集中注意力) more on the running itself. Since I no longer feel like I need technology to run well, I can go out and run without worrying about battery life.
So, what’s the lesson here Well, we could very easily replace the example of running with writing, studying, or anything else. No matter what it is, the more we worry about improving, the more it hurts our performance.
Should you stop using technology to “improve” your performance Of course, that’s up to you. However, if I were asked that question, I’d certainly say that I’m better off without it.
64.When did the writer decide to sell all of the sports gadgets
65.How does the writer record running times now
66.What is another positive thing about not using running gadgets anymore
67.What do you think of sports gadgets Why do you think so (at least 30 words)

They find the test helpful. The MBTI test puts people into 16 kinds. People can know what kind of person they are by taking the test and it helps them to know about themselves better.
“I want to have a party next week. I’m an ‘E’ person. I can clean my room and think about some games. I’ll call Mary to buy some food and drinks. Oh, Jackson is a music lover. He can choose the best music for us. We must have a wonderful night!” “I’m an ‘I’ person. I’d like to work by myself. I enjoy reading and thinking quietly.” They may think like this.
There are also some problems. Some people take the test for a second time and get different results.
“Personalities can change with time, and they are not black-or-white,” scientists say.
