What is “profile”
the outline of a person’s face when you look from the side, not the front.

技巧一：巧用过渡词汇
过渡词，就是表示先后顺序的first，second，last...；表示因果关系的due to, because of, therefore, as a result…；表示分述关系的what’s more, furthermore, besides, in addition等。 可有效规范我们的行文逻辑。
英语和汉语表达方式不同，行文中要尽量避免生硬拗口的中式化表达，如，I very like English和I live city center等。因此，要学会及时检查、修正语法错误, 尽量做到地道化表达
技巧二：避免中式表达
交替使用简单句和从句，即可以凸显句型的多样性，也能使文章显得更加流畅和完整。

I’m Li Hua, a Chinese high school student currently studying in London. Hearing that the local art gallery is hosting a Chinese painting exhibition, I’m writing to apply to be a volunteer for the event.
First of all, I’m a big fan of traditional Chinese painting, and thus I’m capable of offering visitors detailed explanations on the anecdotes of famous Chinese painters. More importantly, having been exposed to foreign teachers since a young age, I have a good command of English. We have a lot of respectable person around us. When it comes to the person I respect, numerous names flash into my mind, among which I have the greatest admiration for Mr. Li, my English teacher, a middle-aged man of few words.
First, his helpfulness and kindness win him great popularity and a good reputation among us. Whatever difficulties we encounter, he doesn’t hesitate to come to our aid.
