The Internet's Effects on Teenagers
The internet has both positive and negative effects on teenagers' lives.
On the positive side, it helps us developing our interests. For example, I love read science fiction novels, and I post my book reviews online. Every time I write a review, I get hundreds of comment. Also, it allows us to learn online. Last month, I took an online coding course and learned a lot of useful skills.
However, there are negative effects too. Some teenagers spend too much time in social media. My cousin, for instance, spends more than five hours a day scrolling through social media apps, which makes him have little time for homework. What's more, the internet may expose us to inappropriate content. Once, my little sister saw a scary video by accident when she was using the internet, and she was afraid to sleep alone that night. In conclusion, while the internet is helpful, we should use it properly.
