“so…that…”意思是“太……以至于……”。so后面接形容词或副词，表示程度，that后接从句表示这一程度造成的影响或结果, 结构为“so+形容词+that…”。

让步状语从句
由although引导的让步状语从句表示“尽管……，（但是）……”。一般情况下，可以和though引导的让步状语从句互换使用，在口语中though更为常用，不能和but 连用。
Although my parents were very worried about leaving me, they had to go away on business for a few days.
尽管我的父母非常担心离开我，但是他们不得不出差离开我几天。

Home alone rules
In the UK, there are no laws about when it is safe to leave a child alone, although parents must not put a child in danger. They should remember some basic rules:
● Leave a contact telephone number.
● Talk to the child about keeping safe at home and point out possible dangers.
