1. Pick yourself up and take a new road。
你要鼓起勇气，走一条新路。
pick oneself up在本句中意为“（使自己重新）鼓起勇气（树立信心）。另外，它还有“站起来”的意思。
They picked themselves up and faced the difficulties bravely.
他们鼓起勇气，勇敢面对困难。
He picked himself up and walked on .他站起来，继续往前走。

pick up的常见含义：
(1) 捡起；拾起
She picked up the key on the floor and put it on the desk.
她捡起地板上的钥匙，把它放着桌子上。
（2）恢复（健康、谈话）
The boy is picking up wonderfully. 那个男孩正在迅速恢复健康。
(3)（用车）接人，以车载人
Shall we pick her up at the airport 我们开车去机场接她好吗？
[注意]
pick up是“动词+副词”构成的短语，其宾语是人称代词时，应放在pick与up之间。

（1）on behalf of意为“代表……”，on behalf of sb.意为“代表某人”，相当于on one’s behalf。
She made a speech on behalf of our school. 她代表我们学校讲话了。
Mr. Black can’t come today, so his wife will accept the prize on his behalf.布莱克先生今天不能来了，因此他的夫人将代他领奖。
[拓展] on behalf of 还可以表示“为了……”。
They are fighting bravely on behalf of their country.
他们正在为他们的国家而英勇斗争。
2. Time has gone by quickly.
时间飞速而逝。
　go by此处意为“（时间）过去；逝去”。
The hours go by quickly when we are busy.
我们忙碌的时候，时间过得很快。

（1）go by 表示“顺便拜访”。
When he went by yesterday morning, all of my family were at home.
他昨天上午顺便拜访时，我们全家人都在家。
（2）go by表示“从……旁边经过”。
He went by us without saying a word.
他从我们旁边经过，一句话也没说。
【拓展】　
(1)当前面一句是否定句时,用“neither/nor+be动词/助动词/情态动词+主语”表示“……也不……”。
eg：I don’t like English.Neither does he.
(2)“so+主语+be动词/助动词/情态动词”用来加强语气,表示赞同,意为“的确如此”。
eg:---It is too hot today.
---So it is.

no adj.“没有”,修饰名词。 　
no修饰不可数名词或可数名词复数时相当于not any,修饰可数名词单数时相当于not a(n),可进行句型转换。
eg:I have no brothers or sisters.
=I don’t have any brothers or sisters.
I have no bike.=I don’t have a bike.
