【原文】Hello everyone, I’m excited to share my experiences with you about spreading Chinese culture in our
international high school. Many of my international friends knew very little about China except for the Great Wall
and pandas. I hoped they could know more, so I started with some basics. I organized several lunchtime talks where I shared stories with my schoolmates about Chinese history and traditions, such as the importance of the Mid-Autumn
Festival and the story behind the Dragon Boat Festival. Many international students showed a real interest
in understanding more. We also celebrated the Chinese New Year with the school wide event. We had lion dancers performing on campus and students tried their hand at making dumplings. The laughter of our friends was a
moment I’ll never forget. The most meaningful part for me was teaching the Chinese language. I started a language club where international students could learn basic characters and songs. It was a great way to build friendships. Through these activities, I’ve seen how culture can bring us closer together.
