Content analysis
【What】The content of this lesson falls under the theme cluster of “Life and Learning” within the broader theme of “Man and Self”. The content revolves around designing and implementing project-based learning activities. Students are required to use the language learned in this unit to complete the tasks. This practical activity is designed and implemented around “Let me take you to visit the campus”. The activity requires students to design a tour guide.
【Why】 Through this student-led tour activity, we hope that students will improve their communication and expression skills, clearly and accurately introducing various parts of the school to others; they will develop their leadership and organizational abilities, formulating and executing a comprehensive activity plan; they will gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of their school, enhancing their sense of belonging and pride; they will better understand the importance of teamwork, learning to support and collaborate with each other; through the selection of the best tour guide, students’ enthusiasm and participation will be further stimulated.
【How】Project part is divided into 4 phases:
Map drawing phase
This encourages students to use their creativity to make the maps lively and interesting. This phase can help them develop teamwork and creativity.
2. Visit planning stage
Each group will select some key locations from the map and make detailed plans for their guided tours. This can help develop students’ leadership and organizational skills.
3. Group activity phase
Each group will take turns leading other students to different locations around the school according to the plan. Through their own explanations and guidance, the guides should help students better understand every part of the school. This stage can enhance students’ communication and expression skills.
4. Best tour guide selection stage
Each group will choose their classmate who performed the best as the tour guide. This phase can foster recognition and support for the tour guide activities among students, while also providing an opportunity to acknowledge their performance.

At the end of this section, students will be able to:
1. Summarize and master the vocabulary, expressions and sentence patterns about school buildings;
2. Introduce their own school in practice, and tell about what they like and why;
3. Present the introduction of a campus and find the school from different perspectives.

Step 1. Lead-in 1. Play an English song about school life. Call Ss to learn to sing. Guide Ss to come up with the steps to introduce the school. 1. Enjoy the video and learn to sing the school song. Then share their opinions. 2. Read the “School tour guide Wanted” and try to think of how to introduce their school to the visitors. To stimulate students’ interest in learning, create a real activity situation through the form of recruitment advertisement, and introduce the topic of school in this lesson.
Step 2. Presenting 1. Encourage Ss to draw a map of their school. 2. Ask Ss to name the places of the school and introduce their locations. 3.
