Ask students: "Boys and girls, look at these pictures. What are they Have you ever been to a party What do you think is the most interesting part of a party " Let several students share their ideas. Design intention: By showing pictures and asking questions, arouse students' interest and recall their experiences of parties, thus leading to the topic of this class - planning a party and making a wishing tree.Step 2: Presentation (10 minutes) Vocabulary teaching Present the new words about party preparations on the PPT one by one, such as "cake", "juice", "balloon", "streamer", "game", "singing", etc. Read the words aloud for students to imitate, and explain the meanings with pictures or simple examples. After that, play a "Word - guessing Game". Divide the class into several groups. The teacher describes the words in English, like "It's a kind of sweet food. We often eat it at a party." and the students in each group guess the word. The first group to guess correctly gets a point. Design intention: Using pictures to teach new words can make the learning process more vivid and easier for students to understand. Grammar teaching (Simple Future Tense) Show some sentences on the PPT, such as "I am going to buy a cake for the party.", "We are going to play games at the party." and "She is going to sing a song." Explain the structure and usage of the simple future tense: The structure is "be going to + verb 原形", which is used to express plans or intentions for the future. Let students do some simple sentence - making exercises. Give them some topics, like "your plan for the weekend", "what you will do in the coming holiday", etc. Ask them to make sentences using the simple future tense. Invite several students to share their sentences. Design intention: By presenting examples and explanations, students can understand the grammar rules. Sentence - making exercises can help them practice and master the usage of the simple future tense.Step 3: Practice (15 minutes) Divide the students into groups of 4 - 5. Give each group a piece of paper. Task: Each group plans a virtual party. They need to discuss and write down the following information: What food and drinks will they prepare for the party What activities will they organize at the party How will they decorate the classroom for the party Use the simple future tense to express their plans, for example, "We are going to buy some pizza and cola for the party. After the discussion, each group chooses a representative to come to the front of the class and share their party plan. The other groups listen carefully and can ask questions if they have any. Through discussing and planning a party, students can practice using the vocabulary and grammar they have just learned in a practical situation.Step 4: Oral Practice & Consolidation (15 minutes) Introduction to the "Wishing Tree" activity Show the students a picture of a "wishing tree" on the PPT and say: "Now, we are going to have a very interesting activity - making a wishing tree. Everyone has their own wishes for junior high school life. We will write our wishes on the leaves and then put them on the 'wishing tree'." Explain the steps of making a wish leaf: First, think about your wish for junior high school life. It can be about your study, hobbies, making friends, etc. Then, write your wish on a piece of colorful paper in the shape of a leaf. On the back of the leaf, write down your plan to make this wish come true using the simple future tense. For example, "Wish: I want to get good grades in English. Let them start making their wish leaves. The teacher walks around to offer help, such as helping them with the English expressions of their wishes and plans. Putting the wish leaves on the "wishing tree" After the students finish making their wish leaves, gather them together. Stick the big cardboard tree on the blackboard. Let the students come to the front one by one and put their wish leaves on the "wishing tree". After all the wish leaves are on the tree, let the students look at the "wishing tree" and feel the beauty of their wishes. Homework Ask the students to write a short passage about their wishes and plans for junior high school life at home. They need to use at least 5 sentences with the simple future tense.
