教学内容
教学重点: 帮助学生获取与梳理富兰克林终身学习的人生经历等基本信息,在理解的基础上构建语篇的结构化知识; 通过问题链的引导,帮助学生深入剖析富兰克林如何成为一名终身学习者及其终身学习的内在动因; 结合语篇的结构化知识,帮助学生描述或复述富兰克林终身学习的故事。 教学难点: 归纳与探讨富兰克林优秀的学习态度与学习品质; 联系生活实际,谈论在日常生活中,如何让自己更好地学会学习,成为优秀的学习者。
教学过程
Step 1 Revision Look at three pictures and recall the Chinese sayings about learning. Recall the important things for successful learning. Step 2 Lead-in Look at a picture of Benjamin Franklin and talk about the things you know about him. Step 3 Pre-reading Read the title of the article and guess what the article may talk about. Step 4 While-reading Skim the article and complete the main idea of each paragraph in Part A on page 38. Read the article carefully and finish the following questions. Read paragraph 1 and answer the following question. Think and discuss: In what order did the writer write Franklin’s life story in Paras. 2-4 Underline expressions that show readers time in Paras. 2-4 and retell Franklin’s life story with the help of the following structure and key expressions. Discuss the following questions and share ideas with each other.
