教学目标
通过本课时的学习,学生能够: 1 借助表格和短文,了解、感知添加后缀-er、-or、-ist构成表示身份的名词的构词法知识,归纳构词规则; 2 准确运用构词规则,添加合适的后缀,构成表示身份的名词,并在语篇中熟练使用,巩固和内化所学内容; 3 用含后缀-er、-or 和 -ist的表示身份的名词描述伟大的学习者,进一步理解学习的重要性。
教学内容
教学重点: 1. 以表格形式呈现三组词,鼓励学生观察、辨识添加-er、-or 和 -ist后缀后词性及词义的变化,归纳转换规则。 2. 呈现一段描述富兰克林在多领域成就的短文,鼓励学生阅读并感悟新词用法。 3. 设置用后缀构新词、短文填空等练习,引导学生巩固所学内容,内化新知。 教学难点: 设置开放性活动,鼓励学生运用所学构词法知识描述伟大的学习者,进一步体会学习的重要性。
教学过程
1. Lead-in Show students a picture of Benjamin Franklin and have them answer the following questions. (1)What was he famous for (2)What was he famous as 2. Presentation (1)Have students review the information of Benjamin Franklin and make them pay attention to the words painter, writer, inventor and scientist. Then give the definition of suffixes -er, -or and -ist. (2)Teach students how to add the suffixes -er, -or and -ist to words. 3. Practice (1)Have students finish the exercise A and check the answers. (2) Have students brainstorm as many words ending in -er, -or and -ist as possible. (3) Have students finish the text about slashies with the correct forms of words in the brackets, then check the answers. 4. Production Ask students if they know any other great learner. Then give them examples of Marie Curie, Yuan Longping and Lin Huiyin. Have students write about a great learner, using the suffixes -er, -or and -ist.
