Tu Youyou is one of the most famous heroes in China. She is a great scientist.
Tu Youyou was born in Ningbo in 1930. She went to study in Beijing Medical college from 1951 to 1955. After graduation, she worked as the leader of a research team to find a treatment for malaria in1969. After years of hard work, she succeeded in discovering qinghaosu from Chinese herb. Qinghaosu is very effective at fighting malaria. Just as the saying goes“no pain ,no gain.” In 2015, she won the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine . What’s more, she is the first Chines woman to win this award. She is successful but she never stops working hard. In 2019, she recieved the title of“ the Greatest Person Of 20th Century”.
The reason why she is a hero is that she helped many people of the world get rid of malaria. She made great contributions to the world .When she met difficulties in her life, she never gave up. She will be remembered by the people all over the world.
