Thomas Edison, a great inventor, was curious about making a new kind of light. He spent many years trying different things to find the right material for the light. Finally he found a good material and made the first useful light bulb.

结尾部分：说说这项发明给自己、家人或周围人带来的好处，可以是节省时间、增进感情、拓展视野等方面，最后用一两句简单的话表达对发明的喜爱和赞叹之情，升华主题。
There are so many great inventions in our lives. They make our life more convenient and interesting. My favorite invention is the bicycle.
The bicycle has a long history. People invented it to help them travel faster and easier. It has two wheels, a frame, a seat, and handlebars(车把). Usually, it‘s made of metal and rubber（橡胶）.
I like the bicycle because it has a lot of uses. Every day, I ride it to school. It doesn't make any pollution like cars, so it's very environmentally friendly. Sometimes, on weekends, I go cycling with my friends in the park. We ride around, enjoy the fresh air and have a lot of fun. My parents also like bicycles. They often use them to go shopping nearby. It saves them time looking for a parking space.
The bicycle has brought so much happiness to my family and me. It makes our life healthier and more enjoyable. I really love this invention.
