本单元核心语法
情态动词can和could都表示能力，请求允许和给予许可，以及提出请求和建议
例:Can you speak English 你会说英语吗？(表示能力)
He could sing very well when he was young. (表示能力)他年轻的时候歌唱得很好。
Could I use your mobile phone (表示请求允许) 我可以用你的手机吗？
Could you please sweep the floor (表示提出请求) 请你打扫一下地板，好吗？
We can eat in the restaurant this evening. (表示提出建议)今晚我们可以在餐馆吃饭。
注意:情态动词could构成的问句用于委婉地向对方提出请求或许可，语气比can更委婉，但是不表示过去。
肯定回答:Certainly. /Of course. /No problem. /Yes. / Sure. /With pleasure.
否定回答:Sorry, … can’t.
Could / can you...
肯定回答:Yes, you can. /Certainly/Sure. Could I....
否定回答:No, you can’t. /Sorry, I’m afraid you can't. Sorry, you can't.
例:--Can I put some flowers on the table 我能在桌上摆些花吗？
-Yes, good idea.当然，好主意！
--Can you help me hang up the photos 你能帮我把这些照片挂起来吗？
-Sure,可以。
-Could I hang out with my friends after lunch 午饭后我可以和朋友出去玩吗？ --Sorry, Jim, but you have to pack up your things first.
