1.What's wrong with you 你怎么了?
【点拨】What's wrong (with sb.) ”常用来询问疾病、意外伤害等,相当于“What's the matter (with sb.) ”。在询问对方健康状况时,二者可以互换。
用来询问疾病、不适或突发情况时,还可以用“What's the trouble (with…) ”“What happened (to...) ”“Is there anything wrong (with ...) ”等。
2. I just took my temperature. I have a fever.我量了一下体温,我发烧了。
【点拨】(1) take one's temperature意为“量体温”。例如:
I had a cold. My mom took my temperature.我感冒了,我妈妈给我量了体温。
(2)have a(n) +疾病的名称,表示“患……病”。例如: have a cough/cold 咳嗽/感冒
Have a headache/stomachache/toothache/backache头痛/胃痛/牙痛/背痛
注意:“have the flu”表示“得了流感”。
(3)身体部位疼痛的表达方式,除了have a 身体部位+ache,还有have a sore + 身体部位,have a pain in +身体部位。
如:have a pain in my leg. (腿疼),have a pain in my arm.(胳膊疼),
have a sore throat(嗓子疼), have sore eyes.(眼疼)
3. I'm sorry to hear that.听到这个消息我很难过。
【点拨】本句是用来表示同情或遗憾的常见用法。当听到别人说到不好的情况时,可以用此句表示安慰。有时也可以用“What a pity/shame!”等。
4. But I can’t stop myself. 但是我无法控制自己,忍不住做某事。
【点拨】can’t stop oneself (from) doing sth 忍不住做某事
