Not exactly. Simon says, “Maybe you have a point.” The phrase “you have a point” suggests that he agrees with Kitty’s view on the benefits of having a few good friends. But the word “maybe” suggests that he is still unsure about changing his mind and is open to more ideas.

(2) How should one decide whether to have lots of friends or just a few
It depends on a person’s personality, needs and lifestyle. Both options have their own advantages. However, the quality of friendships matters more than the number of friends. My best friend
My best friend is Shirley. I first met her two years ago when we worked together on a school art project.
Shirley is taller but lighter than me. She is a lovely girl. She has the brightest smile I’ve ever seen. It makes her look pretty.
Shirley is helpful and patient. When I have difficulty with my schoolwork, she is patient enough to explain the problem to me until I fully understand it.

Post-writing
Shirley is also creative. In our school projects, she always comes up with new and interesting ideas. Every time I run out of ideas, I go to her, and she often helps me look at things from different angles.
What makes Shirley truly special is that she cares a lot about me. When I am down, she is always the first to notice and cheer me up. She listens to me and understands me well.
I’m so lucky to have Shirley as my best friend. I hope our friendship lasts forever!
