课题 Unit 8 Let's Communicate! Section A Pronunciation (1-2)
学情教材分析 Textbook Analysis: This section focuses on pronunciation practice, specifically targeting consonant clusters (/-pl/, /-bl/, /-kl/, /-gl/, /-tl/, /-dl/) and nasal endings (/-fn/, /-sn/, /-tn/, /-vn/, /-zn/, /-dn/). It includes listening and repetition exercises (Activity 1) and connected speech practice with linking, stress, intonation, and pauses (Activity 2). The materials help students improve their phonetic awareness, pronunciation accuracy, and understanding of how suprasegmental features affect meaning. Student Analysis: Students have learned basic English pronunciation rules and simple phonetic knowledge in Grade 7. They can recognize and produce common vowels and consonants. Through previous units, students have acquired vocabulary related to communication and daily activities. However, students might struggle with pronouncing consonant clusters smoothly without adding vowel sounds between consonants. Some may find it challenging to apply appropriate linking, stress, and intonation patterns in longer sentences, which affects their communicative fluency.
核心素养目标 1. By listening and repeating consonant clusters and nasal endings (Activity 1), accurately produce challenging sound combinations and distinguish between similar phonetic patterns.
2. Through guided practice with connected speech (Activity 2), apply appropriate linking, stress, intonation, and pausing in sentences to enhance communicative effectiveness.
3. By creating and performing dialogues with target pronunciation features, creatively use suprasegmental elements to express meaning and emotion in communication.
