第一节(满分15分)
Dear Jasper,
I'm really glad to receive your email asking about local parks. I think Happy Valley is the best choice for you.
It's great because it suits different interests. If you love excitement, you' ll enjoy rides like the roller coaster——it's super thrilling! For a more relaxing time, there's a beautiful garden with colorful flowers, perfect for taking photos. Besides, on weekends, they usually put on fun shows, like magic shows or dance performances. What's nice is that it's easy to reach by bus No.12, which stops near our school.
Hope you have an amazing time there!
Yours,
Li Hua
第二节(满分25分)
One day, when I picked up my daughter, she asked me to visit a park. I hesitated at first—— old habits made me want to rush home and“be productive,” even if I had no work to do at all. She softly begged, “Just 10 minutes,Mom ” I nodded. At the park, she ran to a patch of dandelions, holding one up and yelling, “Blow with me!” As we watched it float away, she smiled and danced happily before me. For those minutes, I forgot about job loss and guilt; I only felt her warmth beside me and the warm wind blowing on my face.
The bond I felt with my daughter in the park made me relaxed. I started waking up not to“be busy”. I walked to the market slowly, chatting with the fruit seller instead of checking my phone. I realized“being needed” didn't have to come from work; it came from playing my daughter in at night and listening to her stories. Gradually, the guilt faded. When I later looked for a new job, I promised myself: this time, work would fit into life, not the other way around.

D 【解析】细节理解题。根据第三段内容“For instance,… tea lattes that sell for 15-20 yuan ($2-3),almost the same as Starbucks’ s top drinks in China.”以及第四段内容“Pop Mart now has stores in more than20 countries, including at least 37 in America. 34. B 【解析】推理判断题。根据第五段内容以及第六段中“In the cases of depression… nightmares are bothsymptom and cause”,可知,因噩梦在部分健康问题中兼具症状与病因角色,故难区分是否为症状。故选B。

Text 10
John Wilson was an Englishman who worked to prevent blindness in the developing world. When he was 12years old, he was blinded in both eyes during an experiment in science class. After that, he went to a school for the blind where he learned Braille, which is the writing system for people who can't see. Then he studied law at OxfordUniversity. After Wilson graduated, he went to Africa. There, he was shocked to find widespread blindness not caused by accidents, as in his own case, but resulting from the lack of effective treatment for certain diseases. For decades, he led an organization to prevent such blindness in Africa through education, research and health care. For example, a disease spread by insects blinded 10% of the people in a part of Ghana, but in the 1950s his organization distributed a drug that nearly removed the disease by 1960. In addition, it helped reduce the number of blind children by giving out vitamins and also by performing over three million eye operations. As a result, millions of people who were in danger of becoming blind have been treated, and blindness is less common there now.绝密★启用前
