I grew up in a loving environment where I always felt safe and loved. My parents always made me feel that I was really important. I was a stubborn（固执的） child. But a school trip to an orphanage（孤儿院）completely changed my view towards life.
Once when I was nine, our school planned an educational trip to an orphanage. We were asked to bring whatever we wanted to give away. My mother gave me some of my old toys and clothes. As we arrived, all the kids of different ages from the orphanage were in a hall. They looked at us with eyes full of hope. We gave them the things and spent some time with them. They were so excited to receive these old things. Later, we came to know that they had only two or three shirts to wear and only one plate for their food. Even the food served to them was always the same and limited. Their poor living conditions made me realize all my mistakes which I made at home.
I also started understanding what my parents did for me. From this experience, I learned how to deal with my emotions（情绪）.
