Chinese New Year is an important festival for Chinese. On January 26th, people started celebrating it by writing fu—a Chinese word meaning “good luck”, on red paper and putting red lanterns inside the Beijing Olympic Village. They also made videos of sending Chinese New Year wishes to all on Tuesday.
Chen Wencheng, a teacher from Peking University from Taiwan, China, also organized activities with a Winter Olympics volunteer team of young people from Taiwan in Beijing’s Zizhuyuan Park to celebrate the festival, including making paper cutting, lanterns and other things.
As for food, traditional food like dumplings was made for athletes (运动员) as well as guests during Chinese New Year so that they could “taste the festival”.
Natalie Taschlerova said that she was happy to have dumplings, her favorite food, in the Olympic Village. She also showed some special gifts that she had got, including red lanterns and Spring Festival couplets (对联). The 20-year-old athlete shared her excitement with all people in the Beijing Olympic Village, saying that her experience in China has been the best one she ever had.
Like Taschlerova, many foreign athletes shared their joy by taking part in the New Year activities or showing pictures and videos online. British athletes had fun learning to write Chinese words. Many people liked the video showing them writing with traditional Chinese brushes.
根据“One day…I was walking on the street”和“a young man ran by hurriedly…” 故填while。
根据前文“a young man ran by hurriedly” 和空格后“didn’t forget”可知,说明即使在匆忙的状态下,他仍记得道歉。
根据“the shopkeeper was…me the change”可知,这在描述店主正在进行的动作。 “pass sb.sth.”
根据上文“a coin dropped onto the ground”可知,此处应将硬币“捡起,动词短语 pick up,意为“捡起”。 故填up。
故填both。
根据“I got to know that…”
故填who。

My favorite traditional Chinese festival
Among all the traditional festivals in China, my favorite is the Mid-Autumn Festival. It falls on the 15th day of the 8th month of the Chinese lunar calendar. The festival is a time for family members to spend time together.
On this day we usually go back home to get together and enjoy a big meal with our family. When we finish the dinner, we always share delicious mooncakes and admire the full moon. And my grandma usually tells us the story of Chang’e.
All in all, I like the Mid-Autumn Festival best because it makes me feel the love and warmth of my family. Everyone has great fun on that day.
