Dear Emma,
How are you I want to tell you about my grammar class at school. Our grammar teacher is Mr Brown. He doesn’t teach grammar in a boring way—he makes it fun! Every Friday, we have a “Pronoun Game”. Mr Brown gives each of us a card with a pronoun, like “I”, “you”, “he”, “she”, “it”, “we” or “they”. We need to make a sentence with our pronoun. Last week, my card was “she”. I said, “She reads English books every morning.” My friend Lisa got “they” and said, “They play games after class.” It was so interesting!
We also have a “Sound Match” activity. We listen to a word and find another word with the same sound. For example, Mr Brown says “who”, and we find “whose” (both have the “wh” sound). He says “cap”, and we find “cat” (both have the “c” sound). Last month, our class had a grammar competition. My group won first place! We got small gifts—English dictionaries. I really like my grammar class now. It’s not boring anymore.
