This great scientist was born in Beijing on 7 September 1930. After graduating from College, he devoted himself to agricultural education and research all along. Owing to years of hard-working, he succeeded in cultivating hybrid rice in 1975 and was awarded many times. On 22 May 2021, it was reported that Yuan had passed away, and our whole country mourned the great loss of a brilliant scientist.
Yuan is a person who looks thin but has a strong mind. Yuan is a man who lives in poverty but owns spiritual richness.

There are many respectable people around us. The one I respect most is my neighbor, Uncle Li.
He is a volunteer who works as a gate guard in our community during the epidemic of COVID-19,and his main duty is to measure body temperature and check the passers for exit and entry. Regardless of the risk of getting infected, Uncle Li is responsible and devoted to his job. Even in terrible weather, he still sticks to his post and leaves no one unchecked. There are many respectable people around us. They may be our teachers, parents or one of our elders. As for me, my father is the person I respect most.
My father is a teacher who loves his work and his students very much. He works very hard every day but he will also spare some time to accompany me and share many fun things with me about his work. When I come across the problems of learning in my study, my father will listen to me patiently and encourage me to overcome the difficulties bravely. He achieved a lot in his work, respected by his students.
In my mind my father is the person I respect most and I love him deeply.
The person I respect
There are many respectable people around us. My mom, an ordinary middle-aged woman, is the person I love and respect most. Born into a poor family, she has always been independent and cherished what she has had. Now she is a teacher, works well into midnight but seldom complains.
The reason why I show respect for her is that she never loses temples, but instead always encourages us. My thoughts flashed back to the days when I felt cast down on account of my poor academic performance. Aware of my low spirits, she told me firmly that as long as I tried my best, she would take pride in me whatever the result would be. In the meanwhile, she secretly stuck some famous saying such as where there is a will there is a way on my table, reminding me to keep a positive attitude toward life. with her constant encouragement and unconditional trust, I regained my confidence and continued to pursue my dream. Were it not for her, I could not be what I am now.
Such is my beloved mom, a simple yet great woman like a beam of sunshine, brightening my way ahead.

There are many respectable people around us. I have great admiration for Mr. Sun, my English teacher, a middle-aged man of few words.
First, his helpfulness and kindness win him great popularity and a good reputation among us. Whatever difficulties we come across, he doesn't hesitate to come to our aid. In some sense, he is virtually a beacon of hope, encouraging us never to give up. On top of that, it is his rich experience and devotion to teaching that not only give us easy access to professional knowledge but most importantly shape our character.
Such is Mr. Sun that I have the highest respect for him.
