Last weekend was a weekend to remember. My mum and dad took me to go camping in Yuelu Mountain. It was interesting but scary.
First, we took the subway to Yuelu Mountain in the morning. The weather was pretty sunny. There we put up our tent by the lake and cooked food on. On the first night, we just sat under the moon and my parents told us the stories about our family. I wanted to stay up late, but I was so tired that I fell asleep soon. The next morning, my mother and I got a terrible surprise. When we looked out of our tent, we saw a black snake sleeping near the fire. I was so scared that I jumped up and down. We shouted to dad to let him know about the snake. My dad woke up and took a look at the snake. He laughed out loud and told us the snake was not a real snake, but just a black rope(绳子). We all laughed.
This weekend was unforgettable not just for the “surprise”, but for the joy of being together with my family.
