范文一
There are many kinds of traditional festivals in China, but my favorite is the Spring Festival.
Also known as the Chinese New Year, it lasts from the lst to the 15th day of the lst lunar month. During this time, people usually sweep out dust from their houses, hang couplets, set off fireworks, and enjoy lion or dragon dances. Families gather for reunion dinners and visit relatives. One custom is to eat traditional food like dumplings, rice cakes, and fish. Each food has its own meaning, such as happiness, togetherness and good health.
This festival is a special time for the whole family to get together. I always look forward to celebrating it every year.
The Lanter Festival, which falls on the 15th day of the first lunar month, marks the end of the Chinese New Year celebrations. It is a night filled with light, joy, and a sense of unity(团结感).
On this special evening, thousands of colorful lanterns light up (点亮)the streets, parks, and homes. People gather to admire the creative designs--some are shaped like animals, others like flowers or even characters from legends. Another highlight (精彩的部分) is solving riddles written on lanterns. It's both fun and challenging, especially when families and friends work together to find the answers. No Lantern Festival is complete without eating yuanxiao which symbolizes (象征) reunion and happiness.
For me, the Lantern Festival is more than just a tradition--it's a magical experience. I love walking through the bustling(熙熙攘攘的)crowds, feeling the warmth of the community. In a world that often feels fast-paced and disconnected, the Lantern Festival encourages us to slow down, appreciate beauty, and cherish the people around us. It's a timeless tradition that continues to bring light to our hearts.
The Dragon Boat Festival, also known as Duanwu Festival, is one of the most important traditional holidays in China. It falls on the fifth day of the fifth month of the lunar calendar.
There are many stories about the origin of the festival, but the most famous one is about Qu Yuan, a great poet from ancient China. When his country was invaded (侵略),Qu Yuan drowned (淹没) himself in a river out of despair (出于绝望). Local people threw rice balls into the water to prevent fish from eating his body. This is said to be the beginning of dragon boat racing and eating zongzi.
Today, people celebrate the festival in various ways. People usually hang mugwort (艾草) on their doors to keep away from evil spirits (邪恶力量) and diseases. The most exciting activity is the dragon boat race. It is a fun and competitive(竞争的)event that attracts many spectators(观众).Another tradition is eating zongzi, which are sticky rice (糯米) dumplings wrapped in bamboo leaves and filled with ingredients(原材料) like red bean paste (红豆糊) or pork.
In short, the Dragon Boat Festival is not only a time for fun and delicious food but also a way to remember Chinese history and culture. It teaches me about loyalty(忠诚) and remembrance (纪念). I always look forward to this time of year.
The Spring Festival, which is the most important traditional festival in China, is certainly my favorite. It usually arrives in January or February, and it's a time when families get together no matter how far they are.
Before it arrives, we clean our houses carefully to sweep away all the bad luck from the past year and decorate them with red paper cuttings and lanterns because red represents good luck. We also go to the supermarket to buy new clothes and all kinds of tasty food that we don't usually eat. On New Year's Eve, every family member comes back home, and we sit around the table to share a delicious feast that includes dumplings, which symbolize wealth. After that, we set off fireworks that light up the sky with color. Then, we sit in the living room, chat with each other and watch the Spring Festival Gala on TV until midnight. During the festival, we visit our relatives and friends. What I enjoy most is receiving red envelopes from my grandparents, which makes me feel deeply loved.
In conclusion,The Spring Festival not only brings me happiness but also lets me feel the warmth of family, which is why I love it so much.
The Mid-Autumn Festival, which is often called the Moon Festival, is a traditional Chinese festival that I love most besides the Spring Festival. It is held on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month every year, and this is the time when the moon is the roundest and brightest throughout the year, which symbolizes family reunion. For Chinese people, this festival is a time to get together with family members.
Every year on this day, my uncle and aunt who work in other cities will come back home, so our house is always full of laughter. In the evening, after having a family dinner, we all move to the balcony. There, we put a table with all kinds of fruits and mooncakes. Mooncakes are a must-have food for this festival. They are round, and inside they have different fillings. My favorite is the one with a salted egg yolk in the middle, which tastes delicious. While eating mooncakes and fruits, we sit together, look at the bright moon and talk about our daily lives. My grandma often tells me the interesting legend of Chang'e, a beautiful lady who flew up to the moon and lived there with her rabbit. Listening to the story and enjoying the peaceful night with my family makes me feel very happy and warm.
The Mid-Autumn Festival is not just a festival; it is a symbol of family love, which is why it is so important to me.
