清辅音发成其对应的浊辅音，需要满足以下条件：
清辅音前有清辅音/s/
清辅音后有元音
该清辅音有其对应的浊辅音
该清辅音与前面的/s/在同一个音节内

英语中的浊化现象主要针对这几组发音：/t/→/d/，/k/→/g/，/p/→/b/，/tr/→/dr/。
[p]在s后浊化成[b]: spring, speak, space, expression
[t]在s后浊化成[d]: stay, stand, steady
[k]在s后浊化成[g]: discussion, sky, skate, skull
[tr]在s后浊化成[dr]: street, strike, strong, construction
注意：
“s +清辅音+元音”无论那个清辅音是在单词的最前面还是中间，只要是在重读音节或次重读音节里，一般都读成对应的浊辅音，如stand，strike，speak，sky 等；
“s +清辅音”这种组合如果后面没有元音，就不存在浊化的问题。如grasp，test，desk等，仍发清辅音；
如果不在一个音节里，也不存在浊化问题，如：passport / pɑ:sp :t/，pass与port不在同一个音节内，我们不需要读成/ pɑ:sb :t/。
在“非重读音节”的开头，s后面的清辅音可浊可不浊。比如 astronaut，statistics（这个词第三个音节tics这里是非重读音节，可浊可不浊）。
