教学重难点 掌握日记中高频词汇、重点短语;从日记文本提取关键信息,梳理时间线;模仿日记结构,用英语清晰叙述假期活动; 体会复杂表达,理解深层文化、情感表意;不同假期场景中灵活运用关键词汇;从假期经历中提炼普适 性成长启示(如如何通过旅行深化对和平的理解),并转化为自身认知与行动。
学情分析 学生在Section A部分已经通过听力、对话对“假期活动”进行了大量的语言输入。已经能初步运用一般过去时谈论他们自己的假期,包括度假地点、人物、食物、假期活动、感受。 学生对于国内度假景点比较熟悉,但是对国外的度假风景、文化,比如本文的俄罗斯风土人情还需要了解。

Step 1. Lead-in. Have a free talk about their holiday trips. Step 2. Reading. 1. Look and predict. Look at the pictures and learn about some information about these places. Try to guess the place Vincent went on holiday. Predict the main idea of the text. 2.Fast reading. Look through the text and try to find out the answers to the questions. 3.Careful reading. Read the diary entries again and complete the timeline. Ss talk about their holidays and answer questions. How do people spend their holidays What can you learn from holiday experiences Where did Vincent go on holiday 2.What’s the main idea of the diary 1. What places did Vincent visit 2. How did he feel during the trip 3.In what order, did Vincent write his diary 1c. Read the diary entries again. Complete the timeline. Review how to talk about holidays (places、activities...) Lead into the new class. (What do you expect to learn from the diary entries ) Observe whether students can accurately extract information about Russian scenic spots (such as Red Square , Alexander Garden, Victory Museum, etc.) by looking at the pictures and reasonably infer the country where Vincent is on vacation. Lead students to scan a text quickly, assess whether they can efficiently locate key information (including text type and organizational structure, titles, topic sentences and key time markers. Observe whether students can correctly complete the timeline and accurately answer questions about institutions like the Russian Victory Museum. Assess if they can precisely identify key details in the text, such as travel activities and museum backgrounds (e.g., the reasons for its establishment), to test their proficiency in scanning for specific information. Students finish the tasks by themselves first and then present their results in group in front of the class.
Step 3. Post reading. Retell the text. Finish the main map and retell Vincent’s travel experience simply. Pair work. Role-play the conversation according to the diary entries. Think and talk. What’s the meaning of traveling Observe students as they create mind maps and retell travel experiences. Evaluate their ability to organize and integrate information about the next day’s itinerary, and assess the logic and accuracy of their information summary and oral expression. Retell and have a better understanding of the text in a different way.Students will improve their oral ability. Guide students to distill insights from Vincent's travel experiences, such as reflections on war and peace, details of travel life, and architectural culture. This will enhance their understanding of the text and improve their abilities in knowledge transfer, as well as critical and innovative thinking
